My 1.1L VW Polo Fox lived on the red line for about 2 years. Or it would have, It didn't have a tachometer so I didn't feel so guilty about driving up hills doing 50 in second gear.

I guess this thread is about decent cars though?

I've driven lots of cars and only Honda VTECs seem to like being ragged. Anything else and i feel guilty.

Although I have ragged the S2000 too much it seems as a brake pipe split on Monday night

The Clios seem very hard to beat, pound for pound.

Gearbox is noisy, but its at 138k so can't complain.
