Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I much prefer conquest to rush anyway, but a few games i had on CB were absolutely epic.

The mix of a massive map and vehicles brings out the teamwork more imo and really makes it shine. In some of the smaller maps for example there is not much use for an engineer, but in a large conquest map everyone has a role and you see people working together much more to bring down vehicles or whatever, imo that is where the strength of the Battlefield games are
 
Guys

Anyone find that the gpahics feel choppy? Fraps tells me im getting 100 130fps but it feels like 30fps!

Very choppy and glitchy and flickery?

Im running 2 5870s I7@4ghz

Anyone else getting the same effect?

I suspect it's the server, not client side, because after it closes/crashes the message in your browser says "Lost connection with server", and if you try and rejoin the server it says "server not found".

It is very annoying I know, but you'll find a decent server eventually.

The newest bug is annoying me though, where you float through the ground and get stuck.

I'm not sure if it was just coincidence but i've been playing in windowed mode, i just changed to fullscreen and played a full 2 games so perhaps it's that, perhaps it is the server.

What the hell is up with flashlights by the way? they're like portable flashbangs :p
 
New problem, had to do a system restore, now when I got back into origin its telling me to re download the beta :( When I look in my HD, the game it still there, how do I get it to update? When I try and launch from .exe it just says its not installed properly. Origin ONLY gives me the option to redownload.
