Some of the videos on youtube make the gfx look less than impressive and the movement looks very arcadey. Is it at least as good as BC2?

Seriously this is leagues ahead of BC2!

Bare in mind this is only the beta so not all options are open or changeable. Graphics for example are apparently not "real" Ultra

When they iron out all of the bugs you will forget BC2 ever existed

Has anyone else got the fast bolt unlock for the recon class on the sv98?
It says its supposed to let you reload without zooming out but it doesnt work....

What do you mean 'reload'?

The sv98 needs you to unscope to pull the bolt, is that what you mean?

No, this attachment is supposed to let you NOT zoom out to pull the bolt

Ignore the timer,it runs for 16 mins but something went wonky with the upload & YouTube added it twice so it runs for 32 mins (repeated).

I've edited it, so it should go back to 16 mins eventually.

I think high and ultra settings are definitely working in beta now.

For my system at 1920x1080p

1GB 5850 (AMD Catalyst 11.10 beta driver installed)
4GB Ram

I can run comfortably upto High settings easily getting around 33-40 FPS on average.

However for Ultra the frame rates take a hit and go into 23-30 FPS, mainly staying around 25 FPS .

I guess my single 5850 can't cut it at ultra

However gameplay is still fine even on ultra. I guess i5 2500K is definitely needed lol to push frame rates higher

However will report back in a while again with scrrenshots

Just not in the beta, which is a few revisions behind in code.

Just as a comparison:

2500k running stock
8GB ram
GTX580 (with nvidia beta drivers)

2560x1440 All ultra settings - HBAO - 8x AF - no AA (a waste at my res)

60-70FPS (56 was the lowest i spotted) that seems to be the norm on both caspian and metro

if i dropped to 1920x1080 to compare with the average user - 70-80 fps

Well lets face it, theres a few maps in BC2 that still suffer from that and its yet to be fixed. Heavy metal is notorious for having the ground textures go mental.

Yep getting the same thing on 2560x1440, pretty irritating

You can manual adjust the HUD afaik, useing the directional keys to tell the game where you want to HUD to be.

loads game to find.
shame i have to actually deploy before I can change any of this stuff
