what do you think happened to meredith Kercher

I have no idea who killed Meredith Kercher.

Do I think the case against Amanda Knox is systematically flawed, yes.

I agree with you here Castiel but what really grips my **** about it is how the yanks are voracious in the defence of this girl over the suspect evidence yet are happy to send a man to death over a guilty verdict in relation to a murder within the US even though the evidence for that case is also extremely flawed (the case was reported on here a couple of days ago)....

Edit: found the case I mean - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18320760

Black men are always guilty, good-looking white women are always innocent.

Guilty. Id hang her before she'd finished the oath.

This girl has convinced herself and is now trying to convince everyone else that she couldnt possibly have done this.

My opinion of course. Which is probably right! :)

Who is forgetting? What is your point?

Should have clarified - I meant the media in general, a lot of the focus seems to be on Amanda because of her looks etc. ("Foxy Knoxy" etc etc) that the victim in all of this seemed pushed into the background.

Anyways lets see what happens, I gather the verdict comes out tomorrow...

The evidence is beyond reasonable doubt:
-shopkeeper claims she bought bleach, cleaning materials
-jealousy, refusal to join-in "game" are motive for murder
-numerous DNA evidence
-lied multiple times, false alibi, zero credibility

It's unlikely their latest attempt to get away with it will succeed.
Raffaele's lawyer looked anxious and uncomfortable rubbing his hand against his face.

A speech about wearing a freedom bracelet, not being violent or ever having done anything wrong is very nice but it doesn't prove a thing.
Also I don't see how Amanda Knox perfecting a speech in Italian for 4 years makes her any less guilty or how it in anyway counts as evidence.

All this talk about Knox - have you all forgotten about Sollecito?

Reading some of the emotionally driven and logically flawed comments on the internet, confirms that the general public (any of whom could end up on a jury) scare the **** out of me. They are so easily lead by the media.

"If she is innocent why was she doing cartwheels in the police station"

ie. Being a bit weird = GUILTY! Remember the media circus around the Joanna Yeates murder? The poor eccentric bloke with funny hair which former students called "a bit weird" and the papers decided he was guilty within hours of his arrest.

"Just look at her smiling at the camera! she must be guilty"

"If she's innocent why has it taken her 3 months to decide what to say in her speech"

I hope they both walk today.

This is some compelling evidence against her, not even considering the dna evidence:

The prosecution said the fact that Knox falsely accused Lumumba of being the killer was a sign of her own guilt and an attempt to throw them off her trail. He was arrested in a dawn raid by armed police and spent two weeks in jail. It was only by chance that a Swiss businessman read about the case and came forward to say he had been talking to Lumumba in his bar on the night of the murder — offering him a rock-solid alibi. Lumumba says Knox nearly ruined his life and is suing her for defamation.

A bedroom belonging to one of Miss Kercher’s Italian flatmates was ransacked on the night of the murder, with a window smashed with a rock. But police said the break-in was staged - broken glass from the window was found on top of clothes scattered on the floor, suggesting the window was broken after the contents of the room were messed up. Prosecutors accused Knox and her boyfriend of staging the break-in to make the killing look like a burglary that had turned into rape and murder.

Sollecito could not back up Knox’s alibi on the night of the murder.

She claimed she spent the evening with him, smoking marijuana, watching the French film Amelie and making love. But Sollecito told police he could not remember if Knox was with him that evening or not.

Sollecito claimed he used his computer to download and watch cartoons and Amelie. But computer experts told the court that there was no activity on his laptop between 9.10pm on Nov 1, and 5.32am the next morning — the time frame in which the murder took place.

Knox and Sollecito turned off their mobile phones on the night of the murder, from around 8.40pm, and turned them back on at around 6am, inviting further suspicion.

I hope they both walk today.
So because of the public/media approach to it you hope they walk, regardless of any evidence?
I'd rather the media played no part in it and they had a fair appeal and justice was seen to have been done. Whether that means they go free or remain imprisoned is of no consequence to me, so long as it is the correct decision based on the evidence provided to the court.
