Mazda Track day

I was at oulton park on tuesday with my Impreza, which one of you (in the mx5) wouldn't let me overtake!!

I'm guessing it may have been an instructor lap as it seemed to be driven very smoothly, I was getting annoyed on the straights as I wanted to floor it but had to keep holding back. It was a great day though, I thought the Mazda 3 MPS looked nice and that Morgan Aero 8 race car was incredible, made me look like I was barely moving when I let him overtake me!!

That Morgan was damn impressive, the Ginetta also was making us look silly.

As for us holding you up, it could have been any of us... the instructors had the mirrors setup for them only, so we had to rely solely on them to tell us when to pull over and more scarily when it was safe to pull back out.

Yeah the mirror thing really freaked my missus out, she felt really uneasy not knowing that it was actually safe to pull back over. And she's used to keeping an eye out for people coming up behind when i'm driving on track.

The little race prepped Clio was really going nuts as-well. So many nice cars there that day!

That Clio was very impressive, I could barely stick with it on the straights and it was very quick in the corners. It was my first time at Oulton Park and I was impressed, it's a challenging track and seems ideal for trackdays - I will definitely be back next year!
