Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

when I click ready to isntall it does nothing.

I checked origin games folder and it is there but when I click bf3.exe it says game not installed properly and takes me back to origin.

wtf?

Operation metro: 100 servers (32 x 100 = 3200 players total)

Caspian border: 32 servers (64 x 32 = 2048 players total)

All together 5248 player slots

while there are probably 3-4 million open beta players

Im pretty sure the browser can only show 100 servers at a time, So there a lot a lot more than that.

On a side note, Whats that program called to get all the details at the top left with gpu useage etc?
 
I must say, I've not seen a single screen shot in my random dips into this thread that have impressed me. What happened to the visuals on the Youtube videos? Does it look like that in game and the screenies are just poor sections or something?

I get 50-70 frames outdoors but it doesn't ever feel smooth? Does anyone else get that?

Also, check this screenshot I took, I saw him lining up the rpg and knew it would make a quality screenie lol looks awesome.

Did you ever think it was actually going to look like the youtube videos?

Cant you remember the crysis video where it looked lke almost real vietnam war.

It still looks good, there are some nice lighting effects and i like the bullet sounds. All this doesnt really matter though, as it just doesnt seem as 'precise' and tactical as BF2
 
I guess only the final product will give us full indication as to what our rigs are actually capable of with regard to this game.

Beta graphics settings still don't feel absolute to me

Not sure about that but seems to be fine so far in my case apart from the server timing out which is server related any way

Btw why does server time out while we are playing the game lol?

Also, upon logging into my Origin account i still have a "Battlefield 3 Alpha Trial" which is available to download?

Any ideas?

Probably so we cant stay ingame too long on caspian. They need to wise up and get more servers up and remove this password bs. For a game with 32-64 players in any given server there seems to be a lack of them.
 
they need to fix the prone bug on metro in park , go prone on higher ground and your under it ;) also there quite a few places where your player gets "stuck"
Oh and i need a better mouse my 4 year old logitech wireless , is errr less than impressive while aiming any suggestions without going nuts on price , say £40 ?
