First impressions?

Unimpressed. Plays too much like other games Battlefield is not. Sick of dolphin divers already.

Given up trying to get this to work i have been trying for hours.
I have tried launching battle log from ff, ie9 chrome i have made changes to firewall, stopped anti virus updated drivers and i still cant join a single ******* game. I have played around with filters and server browser but i still get joining server even on empty servers! bit of a **** take.

Nope.

Lower res, no AA and lower textures will help.

You could try it but I don't think overclocking helps when you are out of vram

Here is my experience (high/ultra)

Run out of 1GB Vram:

5850@stock (725/1000MHz): 22-23FPS

5850@overclocked (900/1200MHz) 24-28FPS

990MB Vram usage

5850@stock (725/1000MHz): 38-42 FPS

5850@overclocked (900/1200MHz) 44-56 FPS

This is btw on metro but you get an idea

Edit: with caspian border frame rates dip to 10-7FPS as it consumes more than 1GB anyway under heavy action :eek:

I LOVE IT!!

But the snipers, they are getting worse playing on servers when the entire team is played a bush wookie. There does need to be a limit on snipers though because even in the wars you didn't have like 32 snipers as up front combatants.

Try fiddling with motion blur options, lot of people don't like it.

This is the first game I have played online. Everyone keeps crawling around on the floor. I keep dying but I am running around upright.
ARMA it is not. But it is quite manic.

Seems the insurge of open beta players has broken the quick match option, keeps throwing this bs up

Failed to ping closest servers, please try again. If this happens frequently, check your firewall settings.

Wish ea\dice would get the thumb out and get more servers online, at the minute its impossible to get into a metro server even.

30fps is playable for me. Would I get higher fps is dropping shadows to medium?

How do you change view in a jeep / tank? How do you 'cook' grenades?

I've used Quick Match and it;s put me in a game within 5 seconds every single time, region based problems?

Drop shadows a bit, you could alsop drop mesh quality some, terrain decoration and disable HBAO.

Dunno, few posts about it on the beta forum about it. I think their battlelog is just getting raped badly to be honest.
