Given they are neighbours with Russia it's no surprise.

There's a guy in my Physics class who was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia (i think) but i really don't think i would have picked up on it if i hadn't been told.

On my old course they had a sister course in central Russia. Lets put it this way... If ever there was a stereotypical looking bunch of Russians it was them. They all looked about as Russian as you could get, even down to the mullets on several of them.:p

There were also several Russians we met at the same time as them some of who looked stereotypically Russian and a couple didn't.

Oh and OP, you do realise Bin laden wasn't even from that region right?;)

Also the most northerly peoples generally have a lot of similarities to the Inuit in looks.

Well the main thing that sticks out about him is the fact that he looks two feet taller than me, and i'm about 6'1. That and his name's Vladimir ;)
