Because most of the ultra settings ain't even in the beta, only lighting and what not are, also "apparently" dx11 isn't in either though ultra textures are 100% confirmed not to be in the beta atm

So come launch you won't be getting nice fps at ultra any more

But 6950 was supposed to be needed for medium settings. If we call medium a notch below ultra (which is generous) then it seems to be fine.

To be honest rarely, I've had more issues with falling through the map

Which was odd because DG followed me through and killed me :eek:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T @ 4.20GHZ
Resolution: 1920x1080
Average FPS: 60 with everything at maximum settings, max ive seen is 90
Driver version: 11.9

What card do a I need to get no lower than 50FPS+, any 6990 users out there that can report.

My 5970 even overclocked is struggling with lows of 35FPS, its just unplayable, think its time for an upgrade

I am getting 60fps with everything maxed out at 1080p on a single 6870 at stock clocks. CPU i5-2500k@ stock clocks, 8gb DDR3.

No need for cards like 6990 if only running one monitor at 1920x1200.

I didn't realise the 5850's were so far behind, I should have just upgraded straight off and not bothered getting a second.

So a 6870 should run it fine?

Im running two 6970s and 1920x1200 and only getting 7fps more than you.

Set your graphics up then restart the game in full screen mode please as before i did this i was getting a reported 100fps

Then theres something seriously wrong if your 6870 is getting more FPS than my 5970, go stand in the middle of metro around all the smoke and see what FPS you get, im guessing around 30

Is this an average FPS? if so sounds about right, dont no whether to upgrade to this, whats your lowest FPS in middle of metro?

saw it drop to around 55 i think while playing last night was using fraps so was trying to keep my eye on it and maintain my KD ratio

Someone else the CF 5850's was struggling and tried with a single card gained fps so maybe some issues with 5 series CF? Would think a 5970 will still have the power to run this at medium/high without a problem.

I have no idea what my 5850 was set to automatically but it was at 30-65 ish fps. BUT there was terrible mouse lag when looking around in game. Have since reduced settings to a mix of off/low/medium and now feels silky smooth.

I was going to purchase another 5850 but I'll hang back till the game launches and hopefully the drivers are all sorted.

Think people are worrying too much about performance...

It's a beta for one, and drivers will not have been properly optimised either.

Come launch, I imagine it will be running a fair bit better for most.

Just wish I could download the beta

Well I have about £280 plus £150 which I'd hope to get for my two 5850's, just wondering which single card to go for?

Single card? A GTX570 and overclock the snot out of it.

If two, a pair of Sapphire 6950 Toxics.
