Dice dev said squads will be done on battlelog so that means no in game squad options, in game it will be just the same as the beta, you will be put in a random squad.

one would assume, along with the commo rose which was confirmed, for the people complaining about DICE not deploying fixes to the beta why would they bother? the beta build is bound to much older at this point, Its released in less than a month.
 
Just had a weird game on Metro where two people were not snipers :p

Love the game, though. A few glitches, as expected with a beta, but I reckon the final game is going to be awesome.

I have noticed a lot of whining and "Oh noes! I am cancelling my pre-orderz becose teh no jets in metron and I WANT CASPIN NAO!" brat-outs. I just consider myself lucky I am not the parent of that child :p

Oddly, once I had updated my AMD display drivers, there were zero issues, apart form the glitches. Getting a game is fine, it loads, the browser is great...

So you will be able to join a game with mates from battlelog and be put in the same squad? Or not?

Agreed, I find the complaining bizarre, I think it's just people who don't want anything to change.
 
Pre-order cancelled, now i know we need origin running to play it, every EA game i own seems to give me jip when their download manager/origin gets involved.

the amount of times i heard people say since release its broke it doesnt work and i just say look click there then look at that oohh your joining :rolleyes:
 
I downloaded the bf3 beta off origins the other night, went to try it today and it jsut doesnt seem to start, i unistalled and redownloaded it a few times to see if it was a corrupt download but never actualy get the thing to load, the process is listed in windows task manager....thinking it might be a virus protection issue?? anyone else got any ideas?

Can't help you buddy. Thinking of giving the Beta a trial, but I don't want yet another dodgy downloader.
 
Downloaded it today, jumped ingame without an option to set up keys which sucked. So mid battle I load up my menus trying to keybind and cant bind anything to anything lol. Wont play again till they fix bindings. Looked around and its everyones problem.

A game BETA has been brought out and people are moaning about every little thing. I'm willing to bet at least 50% of the things people are complaining about here will be addressed in the full release, if not very shortly after with a few patches.

There hasn't been one battlfield game in recent times where you haven't been able to create/join/pick a squad. It won't be dictated by the browser because even if you join a party now in a server it still don't guarantee you a squad. It's just cut down game mechanics for the BETA.

I have been reasonably impressed so far. Yeah, it's buggy but I accept that and have faith that things will get sorted.

The amount of slating going around the internet at this time is quite ridiculous.

Dice have a track record of not addressing issues raised in Beta's, therefore the whining is well-founded if you ask me.

BC2 took a good few months before bugs that were dealt with in the Beta were finally squashed in retail.
 
Had a few games this morning after getting the beta yesterday night. Hate starting a new FPS though when other people already know it as I just get pasted for about 2 weeks until I learn the maps :\ Can't believe some of the people are rank 40+ !

Seems decent though from what I played and my system help up well, 35 - 120 fps (E8400, 4GB DDR2, HD5850 1GB) at high settings.
 
Seemed to play well in ultra on 1920x1080 with my setup.

A little annoying how I was just thrown into a game without being about to change any of the settings. Had to hide behind a bush an do it in game.

Also being a battlefield noob I have no idea what I am doing.

Can be virus protection issue if you have Avira.
