Neither do I actually, not every time but I have the past two times. Off I go to try again :p.

Might also try rolling back to the latest non-betas.

PS there's no overclock on my card.
 
Is it just me or is the only way to edit the game settings is to be alive? It won't let me do anything when I'm dead.

Also, why is there a screenshots folder for battlefield 3 in my documents yet no key to take them?

theres 150 ranks theres too many things to unlock, what u unlock at the start is nothing really.

BF2 Ranking system was too long and stupid.

You get it all the time on CoD. You are like damn they are prestige whatever and you think they are going to destroy but really you are 100 times better than them :p

The only ranking system which really tells you the skill of the player because of there rank is SC2, nearly everything else can be achieved by spending lots of time on it :)
 
OK... I managed to get into a game somehow yesterday, even though this error popped up, but today I simply can't get in.

Basically every time I try and load BF3 it insists that 'Detected nVidia driver version 280.26; minimum version is 285.27; please update drivers before playing the game.'

Now this would all be fine, however, I've realised that I have the latest non-beta drivers for the 480, and anything after 280.26 is a BETA driver...

Frankly whilst I'm happy to play a Beta game, as if it crashes well oh well... I don't really feel like installing Beta Drivers as I need the system to be stable... -.-

Anyone got a way around this?

Installing the beta drivers?

All that beta drivers haven't got over the non-beta is that they are not WHQL certified. Does not mean they will be unstable, I actually find the the latest beta drivers more stable than the 280 series of drivers which were shocking.
 
be running the beta drivers for week and bit now and its fine.

i think Nvidia are just wanting on Microsoft to sign it to make it WHQL or whatever it is.

nothing wrong with this driver from what i have found. and 40% increase in bf3 is great.
 
I tried the beta drivers with my 5870 and performance was worse than using the 11.9s so I reverted back. However it seems as though my card is slowly dying - both DVI ports are gone, the HDMI port is slowly breaking and it could never overclock to even 900Mhz.

Doesn't matter as I've got 2 6950 Toxics on the way. :D Would have got 2 GTX 570s but they were an extra £100 altogether so it was an easy decision in the end (yes I found the Toxics for £200). :D
