It doesn't seem defensive at all?

A beta is a beta, it is somehow more limited than usual betas (since we only get to play one map/mode) but it's still a stage of the product development.

Indeed, i get that, but it seems like if this is a beta then we are not actually being given much to test tbh. One map, no vehicles, no commo rose. With less than a month to release i wonder how anything will be properly implemented in time, barring patches coming later.
I have to say that i am not treating it as a demo, but what i meant is that surely they realised that people are going to treat this as a representation of the final game and this will surely impact people decisions on purchasing or not.

To clarify, the point i was trying to make initially was that whilst this is a beta, it is really also a demo as well. At the very lest it is a demo of what they have already done.

I don't use scopes, since I don't play recon class and prefer iron sights, so I hope they keep it as it is so I can spot all the camping noobs easier.

I can't believe that people use the tactical light or laser sights though, it lights you up like a Christmas tree and makes you so easy to see and kill.

They might as well give you a hi vis vest to go with it.

for all we know this beta was built 6 months ago. and they have patched most stuff already. but its EA so doubt that.:p

The scope reflection outdoors is a bit too much tbh, have they not heard of extended scope covers to block light reflection, or perhaps theyll be added in as an unlock.:D

* Flashlights are annoying and people just use them to blind you

* HUGE disparity between what can get destroyed/blown up and what can't. Toughest sun shades ever for example

The destruction is a really weird point, they claim its better than what was in bc2, but so far maps have a very obvious lack of destructability. They also claimed that in the alpha it was mainly turned off for game testing purposes, but i really don't see any difference in the beta.

As some have alluded to I suspect this is a build only a few weeks after the Alpha build was created which could mean it's anything from 3 or 4 weeks to 3 months old! The retail version that will ship will probably have most of these bugs fixed although I still don't like the squad system and I hope they fix it. if they don't then I can see a lot of annoyed people in the future.
