Not sure how I'd even use a torrented version. I'll grab it tomorrow. Gonna have to play a few races in FM3 before I trade it, so I can get the import achievement and get a couple of bonus cars. Curse my lost save game!

The way people have been getting the demo sounds semi-legit..

It's no different in theory to the situation where a mate has downloaded a demo from XBL, you pop in your 360 prepared USB Stick, and 'copy' the demo to it using the console, then take the usb stick home, and copy it back to your HDD (Or play it off the USB stick)..

The demo's aren't locked in anyway.. but if in doubt, obviously just wait for the final thing..

I must say having been playing the demo since yesterday, I'm very happy..

A huge step up from FM3 in most regards, the only backwards step is the mirror view runs at 30fps, wihch isn't an issue most of the time, but when you glance at it from the silky smooth 60fps main view, it can be a little jarring..

The graphics are a nice step up, the audio is brilliant and so 'layered' with lots of nuances, and the physics in all regards are a step up..

IMO, initial reactions are this is going to be an epic game, the rivals mode in the demo is uber addictive and the choice of car (Zonda around the alps) is a great showcase of the game..

what content does the demo offer?

you get the Cougar Eliminator, Subaru STi and Ferrari 458, each one is on a different layout of the Alps track, 12 cars and you can set all the usual 'assists/AI' etc, but not controller layout..

If you have XBL, you also have 'rivals mode' this has 3 challenges with leaderboard where you can get a feel for rivals, the challenges are all around the Alps on reverse layouts

1. The Zonda hotlapping
2. A new F10 BMW M5 through an endless amount of slow cars, you have to try and do a clean lap (Drafting doesn't invalidate, hitting cars/leaving the track does)
3. The Ferrari 458 again through traffic

Another note, the AI is much much smarter in this iteration, I can count the number of dumb actions they've done on one hand, they do seem pretty decent, I'll be intrigued to see this in action in the final game, having good AI is something I've not experienced yet in any game, they always feel like artificial obstacles normally..

I've just seen the direct capture screenshots of Forza 4, graphically it looks absolutely incredible - even better than GT5. Quite amazed how they pulled it off.
I'm also willing to bet every single model in the game will be 'premium'.

Just the cynic in me talking. GT5 was such a terrible game it's only made the wait for FM4 harder.

They have been in all the previous Forza games. They will be in this version.

The only car related extra is the AutoVista mode. Then again who'd want to snoop around every nut and bolt on a Toyota Yaris?

That was a rhetorical question for the 2 members of the Yaris fanclub out there.

Can't wait for this especially after gt5 being soooo bad....can someone explain the import process? Any reason to keep hold of 3 any longer?
Do we need gold again to access the marketplace?
Are skins being imported across and cars?

FM4 looks at your FM3 save game, and if it sees certain cars, it will give you similar cars straight away in your garage..

You will need gold (I think ) to access the marketplace or any online activity.

You will also bring over all vinyl groups, but not whole car designs as they aren't compatible.. so save what you can as individual vinyls..

tried the demo :) woah what a step up from FM3 amazing!

lovely looking, great sense of speed, physics feel very nice and refined the Zonda is a pleasure to drive such a great car, very impressed!

agree about the mirror being a bit poor :)

Would that be available on silver yet. A copy of Forza is about my only use for my 360

I did get a brief go of GT5 the other day and maybe I missed something but it didnt feel especially challenging which is a shame if it is that simple as GT4 was one of my favourite driving games ever and basically my reason for buying a ps2
