Had to be put down a couple of weeks ago from cancer. Absolutely gutted. The best dog I could ever have hoped for.

Picking him up on friday, the house is so quiet without a dog to greet us in the morning/when we come in. Also gets us out the house for walks.

Dare I ask, why was it even near a car?

We live in a rural area and the lanes are pretty quiet most of the time.

Along with that, we have quite a big garden so the dogs are free to run around. All secured with fence/hedging/gate. Unfortunately she dived through the hedging straight into the path of the car.

Our golden retriever was ~13 and never got out once, even in his days as a very energetic pup. Obviously a size difference but still, wouldn't be able to secure the perimeter much more than what it was.

Such is life :(

Massive stroke is what he suspected but couldn't say for sure.
He was looking very drowsy and couldn't really get about much that morning, the Vet thought he may have had one in the night aswell.

We're looking to get another dog in the coming months now, so will have a good time with a young pup around again :) Still unsure about the breed but we'll probably end up with a large (compared to scottie/jack at least) sized dog
