The only reason they are getting away with it is because the council doesn't want to be accused of racism or bigotry which is probably the only card these Travellers haven't played yet. If that was Joe Soap down the road from you with a conservatory he didn't request planning permission for he'd be out on his ear quicker than you could say 'I facking 'ate ******'

I can guarantee you that none of these Travellers has ever obeyed the law in their entire lives, but yet they expect to work the system now when it suits them.

Well a ruling has been made. Again. 49 out of 54 plots can have their caravans removed.

I don't fully understand this bit:

"An injunction preventing any removal from the site is expected to remain in force until at least Tuesday when a second judgment is expected in a related case."

So the council can remove caravans, but only once a second judgement has been passed lifting the injunction? A DECADE this has taken and it's still not fully resolved.
 
Couldn’t expect much more with all this legal faffing around. It’s another step forward and after this long wait another day or two won’t make much difference.
 
This is pathetic.

No wonder this country is such a mess if the bloody government can't kick a load of useless gypos off a piece of land.
 
I bet the other 2/3rds of the gypsy's legal bills will be paid for by legal aid as well :mad: No way are they going to have much provable income, despite most of the blokes driving around in £60k motors :mad::mad:
