Just thought this would be an interesting thread considering ive just dropped my iphone 4 down the toilet while brushing my teeth and texting at the same time lol :\

So guy's what expensive items have you lot destroyed by being silly? Lets see who wins. :D

iPhone 4. It fell off a bus seat onto the rubbery floor and cracked the front screen. Cost me £140 to get fixed (front costs more than the back due to the LCD being glued on) :/

Ancient ring my father found metal detecting... was very nice silver and undamaged after a few hundred years.

I had a look at it and dropped on our tile floor by accident causing a crack down the middle, dropped it's price from a few grand to a few hundred quid.

He was not amused. :D

Luckily my phone itself seems fine, no cracks or anything just got it in a bag of rice drying off at the moment.

Also reminds me I cracked the front screen of my Iphone 3g a few years (just randomly appeared, wasnt dropped or anything) and that cost me £139 to fix :\.

I once fell into a large oval mirror and broke it, sorry stumbled but the less said the better. :D

Went to a pc fair and left with an all singing and dancing cpu only to drop it on the way to the carm, bent a load of pins and chipped it. I had to underclock it to stop it from overheating.

When I was in halls I was running up the stairs with my ip4 in hand and dropped it. To stop it from hitting the steps, which were wooden and hard, I tried to catch it - but I some how managed to hit it up and knock it so that it fell down the middle of the stair case - sort of between the stairs. The phone ended up landing on a concrete floor which was about 10 metres below. And the great thing was, my phone literally did not have a scratch on it. I couldn't believe it as one of my mates dropped his from his pocket it and the screen cracked. I got lucky that day!

Crazy Lucky! :p

Had a HTC Desire, with a nice silicone case, which included my drivers licence and my bank cards in it...

Fell asleep on the train with the phone on my lap, woke up in a panic, walked off and realised just as the doors closed :(

Bought laptop whilst on road trip in the states

Put laptop on roof of car whilst packing

Drove off

...

:(

Dropped my £1300 laptop.

Smashed up numerous phones...on purpose. Technology either does it's job or it dies.

Smashed a wall at work with a forklift.

Smashed a racking unit with a forklift.

Dropped a few dolavs (plastic storage boxes) of product after someone stuck it in the racking unit incorrectly. Couple grand of product into floor waste.

(Forklift incidents weren't really my fault. Slippery floors combined with poor brakes on forklift = bang!) Funny seeing as these floors are suppose to non-slip...

Mate of mine at work blew a forklift battery up after he put it on charge incorrectly. Battery acid went everywhere.

My car 1st day after I'd passed my test not 100 ft from home that I'd just left I turned to go round a parked van checked my speedo to make sure I was driving a sensible speed looked back up just as I was hitting the back left corner of said parked van....

needless to say I'm never gonna be allowed to forget it!

My car would not start and work were being an ass telling me I have to get to site (and some how not be late), so in a rage I threw the phone at the car, totally destroying the phone and smashing the car windscreen

Bent over to untie my shoes with my iPhone in my breast pocket... It slid out and the screen smashed. £65 to repair...

Also bumping the car while driving like an idiot when I was younger.
