Nexus Prime

^ It's a 1/2.33" sized sensor so pixel size is ~1.4 µm, same as the 8mp sensors we've got today. Shame they don't do a 8-10MP version though...

Given how the Nexus S wasn't really pushing the limits when it was released, I imagine the Prime will have the standard 8MP SGS2 camera. 16MP would just be a bit pointless.

Apple don't really innovate, they polish, refine and market things better than anyone else.

I don't care about the internal specs really, the power the 4S has is absolutely more than enough (just like the Galaxy S II now), but the screen size is my one complaint.

TBH even an ip4 is more than enough. My friend has a ip4 and I have a SGS and I never really find a program that slows it down (same basic hardware). The OS for both still runs well and just keeps making the phone even faster.

I'm just kinda let down after all the delays or w/e to not see anything really amazing. Siri or w/e is already on android so nothing new to me I used it a lot at first through the Valingo app (thinks thats the name) and it was really great. Still use it for things like google maps.

Main thing I wanted was 4" screen find that to be the sweet spot and maybe a re-design.

Yeah thats true about apple they take things make it a bit better and shine and everyone believes its a whole new thing and no one has ever done it before, have to give them credit for it and no doubt people will be talking about Siri like its the best thing since sliced bread.

I'm really disappointed with the iPhone 4S announcement. The specs are nice enough, but I'm hugely disappointed with the screen size, and I was hoping for a new, thinner design too. I'm due an upgrade, and I'm seriously interested in the Nexus Prime now.

Same, been some what of an android fanboy but lately I've been more fair to both parties, wasn't really anything against iPhone but just how everything is looked just didn't sit well with me. But I felt it was time to let that slide but oh well, hopefully the Nexus Prime isn't a let down or ill just wait awhile longer for a new phone.

i'm so pleased by Apple's FAIL, surely Google/Samsung can simply lay down the number 1 phone.

That depends how you define the number one phone, I think realistically the iPhone 4S will outsell the Nexus Prime in a head to head situation, but we'll see.

Image noise will be seriously high on a mobile camera with 16mp - forget it.

On a standard phone sensor, yes. Going by the info given/posted though, the Prime has sensor aiding to help image noise.

I will be surprised if it has rubbish noise control.

Haha, you're joking?

Swathes of peasants will camp outside the iStore for weeks to buy this device.

It will end up the fastest selling phone of all time.

The GNP may be amazing - but Apple could sell glasses to a blind man, make no mistake ;)

you've got to be pretty petty to care.

Iphone will always have more sales because there's only 1 top iPhone - not rocket science.

Since theres just 1 iOS option compared to 100million android it be very touch for 1 single android phone to match the sells of any top iphone at the time its very simple. ip4s would have to be really just a **** phone for the Nexus to sell more tbh which isn't the case.

Indeed, but it's the same as the argument that Android is eating Apple's market share which again is to be expected when you can get new Android phones for under £100 and the iPhone is a lot more than that.

To be honest, who cares. :p

I'm due for an upgrade soon as I'm still using a HTC desire and was waiting to see what the iPhone 5 was going to be like.
I think there is a collective sigh of relief from a good few phone manufacturers today and for me the prospective Nexus Prime has just jumped to the top of the pile.

If it has the same camera as the Galaxy S II, then it's still going to be one of the best cameras inside of a phone. 16 MP will be ridiculous though! :)

Apple cares. It's their choice to produce a limited selection of hardware to promote brand quality and other things.

I was a bit surprised by the 4s's screen size, I expected a 4" screen, still not exactly a bad upgrade the GPU especially in the A5 is a beast, although they've traditionally underclocked the phone compared to the iPad so who knows what speeds the cores/gpu are actually running at.

Anyway, back on topic really looking forward to a weeks time just to see what ICS has in store, not really many rumours so far, just a video that didn't really show off all that much, do we have Google+ integration, or any fancy new features, or is it 'just' Honeycomb + Gingerbread mashed together :p

i'm not talking about sales, Iphones will always outsell everything.

its time for google to lay down the number 1 phone is what i'm saying, im sure u can think of a few elite super cars, but then a ford fiesta will out sell them :D
