But does it fully work on the SGS2? Nope still loads of bugs & things that won't ever fully work due to Samsung not releasing the sources.
It is maybe pure Android but it isn't fully usable yet so it is not an option.
The problem is it shouldn't even be on there in the first place. That is the problem with Android & I hope ICS stops all the bloat being put on.
Not forgetting the S2's HDMI output, I doubt Nexus will have that![]()

Actually completely forgot about that!![]()
how does the bloat actually affect you?
can't see why it wont have MHL?
Uses memory that would otherwise be used for something useful?
I'm not saying that the SGS2 is a bad phone I love mine to bits, But I wish these phones would just come as android was intended. Not with bits tacked on everywhere.
I know I can root & I do actually have mine rooted using Leomar Rom.
This is what I am hoping ICS will solve, While keeping the customising options.

Honeycomb is Tablet only though so irrelevant.
RAM use is a non issue as it never really runs out on the SGSII.
The rest is really a non issue too. I guess I can understand your point.
The main issue for me with the samsung rom is delayed updates - that is all.
how the hell is that irrelevant - it uses android stock doesnt it?![]()

Well because we're on about phones, not tablets!
If HDMI did work on stock Android outside of HC then developers would have enabled it long ago!
It's not irrelevant because ICS will run on both tablets and phones so it's part of the new Android.
If you have your phone rooted just go to system/app and delete all the bloatware. You can also just download a script someone made that will delete it for you.
As for RAM being used by bloat, it's pretty irrelevant.
The worst thing about stock Android?
The camera interface. It's so bad.![]()
