Female body builders, just why?

The problem is what I outlined would have been enough, tatts get bleached out enough, and she wouldnt have even had to have used that over shine, you really want a dryer look than that when under the lights, it actually causes the same problem than not using tan, which is bleaching out the lines and creating contrast. So with a bad tan, the definition goes with to much shine. Im willing to bet she will sort it by her next show though, but I think she could have scored a 4th place with a better tan.

Fair play on her. Before she got slated for doing nothing and now she gets slated for doing something, can't win.

She said she did it for a TV show, media whore.

Remember when she tried to find a husband on MTV.

If someone came up to you, offered you a job, you would be able to afford the time and food to do this.

She is vile.

I think the sensationalism and poor information released about what she has done is wrong as well. No doubt about it, she has done well, but the information given by the media is poor - like a lot of people posting in this thread who have no clue about the bodybuilding world.

That is a pretty nasty term of words to use on a person that you have no knowledge of in real life.

well i posted this in your BB thread i think it should go here as well now, as all of this is taken far to seriously.

Nope. This is a myth fat, ugly or unhealthy people tell themselves to make themselves feel better.

It takes a lot of hard work to look like that, she has done very well.

She has been in training with Tim for about 3 years, she had progress pictures that where shown month before this, she was planning on doing the show ANYWAY, but she went to producers and asked if they wanted to document it.

At least try and base an opinion on some kind of fact.

All your post shows is a utter and total lack of understanding how difficult it is to get into any where close to comp shap, I doubt theirs a single other celbrity person would do it for any kind of money, or do it and utterly fail.

Well clearly I meant from the impressions I've seen of her in the public eye and what has been reported. I generally find those sort of people beyond dull and mediocre furthermore her behaviours and just her representation she gives to the public I find particularly crass. Lastly I generally find celebs and certainly the z list ones as well as the glamour industry pretty low key. I find her character and the way she portrays herself as vile. I'm sure i'm being hugely unfair to her but hey the media is a powerful thing. ;)

I'd pee in her butt.

look if you are going to state a sexual act of fetish please use the correct terminology which is a golden bath. :p ;)

Freefaller you believe hear say and what ever is written in the media, easily led then :D ;)

What, I go to the gym 3/4 times a week, weights/cardio, I know how much work is needed to lose fat and gain muscle, the amount of crap you spout you must have PHD is Broscience

Its easy to do, the human body will allow it, given time + exercise + right diet.

People do this who work all week and are not celebs and do not get free stuff, notice she was doing it in association with la muscle tv show what ever that is. If you really think she did this for the laugh then you are clueless, in it for the money and fame.

YIKES.. I take it back from earlier....Not me, beer goggles included. Seeing that pic.. one clench of her inner groin, and that would be the end of my little fella forever.

i would reckon price is a huge factor to be considered too, these people don't get a lot of money from the competition and i think all of them apart from the ones at the very top make a loss.

so fake tan is probably the easiest and most cheapest option, plus i dont understand how you get the idea that using blue would look just as natural. there are no blue people on the planet but there are people who are brown/black. so therefore it is a much more natural look than using blue but obviously not as natural as just being tanned or african.

also i think the darker the colour the better it displays the muscles, therefore brown/black > blue

My Smurf reference was that the fake dye used is "as obviously fake as a Smurf".

That does not mean "using blue would look just as natural", merely that both are equally obviously fake. If I put on a fake penis 3 feet long it would be just as obviously fake as a fake penis 4 feet long, but that doesn't mean that 3 feet is the same as 4 feet.

And the "Ronseal Deep Mahogany" look is that obviously fake.

Your point about cost is a good one, as an artist would usually cost money. No doubt some bodybuilders would have friends who could do the job, but not all.

Is it actually banned in competitions, i.e. using dye to display muscles more clearly has to be monotone only? If not, it could be used for an unfair advantage. Make-up can make a substantial difference to appearance.

unfortunately this is a common misconception that guys with muscles are automatically good fighters.

whereas its guys who actually fight and train on a regular basis which are the ones who are usually good at fighting.

You forgot strong as well. I've lost count of the amount of big guys I've seen in the gym struggling with quite light weights.

That aside, if you do have quite a bit of strength, and power then it doesn't really matter how much technique your opponent has if they can't take your punches/kicks and whatever else, while their own are relatively light.

A lot of people here are of the "you're lifting weights so you want to be a musclebound retard hurrrr" mentality.

Personally I started lifting (focusing on squat/deadlift, but with upper body stuff too) because I've always had dodgy knees and figured squats would help strengthen them. They have. As a side effect I've now got thighs like treetrunks but apart from doing the usual bench/press/rows etc just to keep things balanced I don't really care about upper body size/aesthetics at all. My focus is solely on health/strength.

I hope you don't do parallel squats. :p
