New Recycling Bins

Yep...You heard me, we now have another recycling bin

So, we now have the following:

Bin for general waste
Brown bin for garden waste (used to have cardboard)
Green box for glass

And now the new bin with a blue lid (replaces the two baskets we had) which now does plastics, cardboard, and other things...

I must admit, it's nice to have the one bin, but the things bleeding huge! :p

What are other peoples Recycling facilitys like?
 
We have 4 huge bins now its insane.

Black - rubbish
Blue - card/paper
Brown - glass/bottles
Green - garden

and every 2 weeks we're supposed to leave out these little bags of the 'little food waste bin' that they gave us too, which is like a little box that you put food scrap in (no packaging) for composting.

Its insane <.<
 
Bin bags for household
open green plastic box for paper/glass
white sack thingy for plastics
orange sack thingy for garden waste.
green container for food waste (hardly anyone uses these)

All very nice and compact.
 
We have 3 here in N.Ireland
Black - general rubbish
Blue - card/paper/plastic
Brown - garden waste
 
Grey bin for general rubbish; green bin for cardboard, food scraps, compost and garden waste; black box for paper, green box for bottles and plastics; another black box for glass bottles (although we usually have to put an extra box out due to the sheer amount of alcohol that is consumed in this house!). Herts County Council like to make us work!
 
I would love a bin for cardboard and plastic.

We have

Bin
Black box for cardboard, metal, glass
Brown tiny thing for food
Bag thing for plastic.

Cardboard gets blown down street in winter and never picked up.
 
We have one box for glass, paper and cans.

You can put out as many bin bags as you want and they get taken away every week.

The council also leave a single black bag for you when they take the full ones away.
 
We have nothing. We just bag it up and leave it outside on the pavement. But they only take rubbish and recycling (plastics, glass, paper/cardboard) not garden waste.
 
We used to have:
1 black bin for general waste
1 recycling box for everything recyclable.

Now we have:

1 black bin
Orange plastic bags for recycling (I don't see the point in bags, surely this defeats the point?!?!)
 
Chrikey, would be annoying having four bins! Quite glad I only have three :o

Would hate to just have bags though
 
Normal every day rubbish bin (green) and the new blue recycle bin which we all got earlier this year. The light brown ones my neighbours have for garden waste like weeds/soil and what not.
 
We have one big black wheelie for normal stuff.
Another big green wheelie for garden waste.
A green box for paper and card.
Another green box for glass.
A big green bag thing for plastic and cans.

No lie. Recycling stuff gets collected once every two weeks. Black bin once a week.

And quess what? We are now getting ANOTHER new bin which is a little green box for food waste only. This they will now collect weekly and everything else will be every two weeks. That is SIX bins. :rolleyes:

What bugs me the most is that when they collect recycling (which I swear they put in landfill anyway), they come round in the truck and put all the paper / card / glass / plastic / cans all in the back of the SAME truck. Yep, I have been told I must split it up only for them to mix it back together at the bottom of my drive. :mad:
 
3x 240Litre Wheelie bins:

Black bin = General
Green bin = Garden
Silver bin = All Recycling

wouldnt mind a cat bin, hopefully that's coming soon.

None at my flat, all goes in to big communal bins on the street. Black lid for general waste, green for card/plastic/cans, and blue for paper. Bit of a trek to the nearest glass/bottle place, so I'm back to drinking cans for now :p
 
Black bin - general
Green bin - garden waste
Blue bin - anything that can be recycled, they give us quite a long list. Plastics, glass, cardboard etc all goes in. Which is really handy tbh. They seperate it all themselves.
