The pic from RavenXXX2 does raise an issue but it may be a fluke or a problem with the netcode/beta

At the end of the day its all about how seriously you take the game. Can you handle being shot and taking it on the chin, or do you record every second of your game play and scour it for anomalies afterwards

My perception is people who think they should be awesome and never miss worry about this kinda thing (or K/D freaks), people like me and most of my friends I play with now or or in the past just get up and get on with the next kill

Of course if there is something consistently and fundamentally wrong it should be fixed but only time and the final release will tell

If you have time to press other keys and take screen shots mibbe your concentrating on the wrong thing to start with ;)

This game was borderline unplayable on my 4870 512mb despite getting 45fps average and 60ish max. Now on my 570 it runs great and is so much easier to kill people. Actually possible to snipe now!

The lag between when you duck for cover and when you are actually registered as being behind cover is truly awful. You have to duck early to pre-empt any possible return fire. It's nonsense really. It's beta so whatever but this needs to get sorted

I fully agree with all this Netcode talk and if it doesn't improve i cannot play this game.

Its so frustrating i cant remember the last time i didn't rage on voice coms.

It feels like nearly every other death is just totally out of sync with where i am in the world.

yes the players are probably lagged to hell and from all over Europe and possibly further but its ruining it for me.

I take it seriously enough to want it to be a level playing field and bug free and I do not want my experience hampered by it.

You don't even need to scour for it, it's so deliberately in your face if you know what's happening, some people are too ignorant or just don't see it, the same kinds of people who can't notice an obvious photoshop, viral video, difference in quality of audio or many other things.

Of course that doesn't mean it happens for everyone, but everyone I do know who's played it all have the problem.

I know what your saying ChrisJSY but some people will just never accept they lost in a fire fight, it will always be the games fault, or a bug, or the netcode. Ya know how it is

Some people may be ignorant, some have extremely high standards and some don't care as much as others

As I said if its proven as a consistent and repetitive fundamental issue with the code it must be fixed

I'm going to sound like one of these sensationalists now but; i've cancelled my preorder.

The netcode is too buggy, whilst i get this is a beta it won't be the first time that massive bugs have been carried over from beta from the full retail release by the Battlefield team. There's too many good games coming out this winter for me to take a chance on a game that is likely going to have all sorts of problems from release.

I'll wait until next year and likely get a copy then, but i'm not forking out on release day any more, twice bitten etc.

The thing i do wonder about is how many people asume they havent been shot at and scream bad this when bullets are allready flying towards them before they react
There are plenty of bugs but everyone i know is still playing and enjoying it so something is right

Your kidding me right? Tell me your kidding or your just too slow at the game to be frustrated by it.

Nothing wrong with it imo. I think I am a decent player, been playing BF series for years now and I can't really find much worng with it.

These videos where beople break this stuff down are just crap at the game trying to find an excuse for their crapness.

Can bullets pass through people in BF3? Because I've been standing about 100 feet (in game values) behind someone who got shot by a *sigh* sniper, and the bullet passed through him and killed me. I've also been shot behind cover and round corners multiple times and shot many people at point blank range with the UMP and they've shot me once back and killed me.

There are problems there and most of the time I'll either take and deep breath, or change server if I'm being raped by someone camping and worst case I'll just shut the game off. It does get very annoying but I'll still be getting it because I think the Metro map is a bit of an anomaly and I can't wait to re-visit Sharqui Peninsula again :D

I've been talking to one other person with our card on the Nvidia forums. He was having similar issues with BF3 (but also with other games like WOW too) but since flashing his bios he has been error-free.

Using GPU-z to monitor it appears that the bios flash changed the voltage on the card from a static level to something that fluctuates depending on card load. With no load it reports 0.95v and with full load it is 1.037v. Mine on the old bios is stuck on 1.012 regardless of what it is doing.

Be interesting to know if yours fluctuates in the same way, and what the readings are if you're OK to test?

Well i never had an issue with WoW on this card and this did involve sticking everything to high and a couple of 4/5 hour leveling grinds, if i get some time tonight i may have a go at the flash, and see if i can put the clock back up. Though ToString has done it apparently to no avail.

Also have played Dead Island, Deus Ex on pretty much full everything with no issues. However, on this card i have seen "the driver has failed but been restarted" a few times every week which i didnt on my older cards.

Some things are a bit whack.

I was prone, laying down huge amounts of suppressive fire down the left side platform that runs down the side of the A MCOM on Metro subway section (Looking at it as an Attacker). Full auto with the M249, front grip and looking through an IR scope. I see things before they see me, WELL before. Plenty of accuracy in prone with grip.

So not only do I have the eyes on advantage, prone but I am already laying down heavy fire. 2 enemies come out from A, casually look left while walking INTO my fire and not only do they not die, but they are able to:

- Overcome any suppressive effect (If there was even any?)
- Kill me
- Neither of them died

Total WTF? moment.

Love the game, but getting rather bored of the Beta now.

And to the people regarding people not dying, there is an attachment called Covr that reduces damage on impact by bullets, same goes for explosives as well if you use the explosives protection attachment. The UMP-45 with that combo is unreal, unlocked it this morning before work, and was on 23/12, 3300+ points and the top player on the server till i had to leave to get ready for work, really wanted to stay and finish the round, as my attacking team were doing a fab job.

Edit: Sporting the RPG a lot as well. Flashlight? RPG to the face.
