My mate made this site - looking for feedback or if any of the devs here can think of any use for the service:

It attempts to get your location from lat/long supplied by your browser so prob won't work if you are just wired.
 
Hmm, seems a tad out for me. It thought I was in central London (W8 4RE) when I'm actually in Milton Keynes.

I assume it goes by location of exchange/provider?
 
Dead on for me, FF asked if I wanted to let it use my location, so I assume it got fed some pretty accurate data to reference with.
 
About 5 miles out for me.

I'm impressed by the detail on the mapping software though. Having only sold a certain group of buildings to new owners on Friday, it has the group of buildings down as being formally owned by my company!
 
My friend is developing a similar thing, but is trying to incorporate it into a social website for people around you, think its called I Like, I Live still developing the messaging but the geo stuff is pretty much spot on - here it is http://www.ilikeilive.com/
 
Way off for me. It's saying I'm in Camberley in Surrey, but I live on the South Coast in Sussex. It's closer to my ISP where my IP's are registered, but it's still a fair bit away from them and in the wrong county for them too.
