Hi guys,

Got a job interview for a telecommunications job tomorrow. The role is basically managing/supporting WAN/LAN's for large number of sites. Also they all use IP telephony so that as well.

Obviously I'm going to be asked technical questions, what do you think are the main things I;ll be asked? I presume things like what does ADSL mean, what is a VLAN etc?

What else?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

what is the role title? Does it ask for any quals? I mean like CCNA? If so just basic CCNA questions, maybe about different switches and like you said VLAN setups...

CCNA isn't a must no, they don't ask for specific experience/qualifications as you get training once in the role.

To cut a long story short I actually had this job 3 years ago but left for another job I was offered, the manager bares no grudges and invited me back for this interview, I don't really remember anything though so trying to brush up on my networking knowledge!

maybe subnetting, network managers love asking about subnetting, if they use Cisco equipment brush up on your CLI knowledge if you will be doing stuff like that :)
