What motivates you to make you hit the Gym?

Have you ever lugged bales of hay (full barn) or stacked 20KG hardfeed bags. :p

I have a set routine.

And Psycho Sonny where be your body building pics :confused:

i used to have pics of myself on the internet when i was younger, but i dont post pics and havent done so in like 5 years.

i dont have a facebook or myspace account, etc, even though i know you can set them to private, etc, they can be hacked, etc.

i prefer not to, i have distinguishing tattoo's as well, so blurring or cropping wouldn't really work. looking to get a couple more tattoos done in the near future.

Like someone is gonna see your picture on the internet and suddenly decide to come find you.

Do you not have friends around the world?

It's such a good way to keep up with people. You only add the people you want and you can decide what they see. I used to think I was a bit paranoid.

How would FB reveal your secrets? It's no different to posting on this forum. In fact, posting on here is worse because someone can find your details pretty easily.

Anyway this is going wildly off-topic.

pfft, I used to have to heave the bales to a height of 6-8 bales high whilst they were on a trailer that had it's floor circa 4 feet of the ground i.e. 12-14 feet up and then take them from the trailer and do the same thing in the barn all over again!! This included straw AND hay and went on for 3-4 days and 8 hours/day :p

No fun when you are only 14-15 years old and the older guys gave you no quarter i.e. do what they can do or **** off :( :p

Character building I think they called it back then :p

its more to do with jobs, employers, clients, etc. anyone basically who may want to do a background check usually checks Google first.

i know people who when they apply for jobs usually change their main account pic and change their name on facebook, etc so they think they cannot be found, anyone with half a brain cell can still find them.

facebook accounts provide more disadvantages than advantages imo.

if you have a lot of friends who dont care what they post on your wall, or go out and get trashed every weekend, it can look bad on you as they look through friends and their pics.

anyway i dont like it, so i dont do it.

i had a mate who knocked some guy out in a fight the other guy started in a club, he got charged, found out the guys name, found him on facebook, found his mum and dad, where they lived, found out his brothers name and where he worked, all their phone numbers, etc. the charges were dropped soon after an anonymous call went through.

luckily my parents never named me psycho sonny at birth then ;)

??

Setting an account to private means that nobody can find you. You can set the account so nobody at all can see your pics (can probably even set it so someone can't tag you either).

If they're taking photographs of you then you're already plastered around facebook. If someone is that serious about finding what you've been upto then not being on facebook is hardly going to stop them.

Just sounds like paranoia central to me. If I was you I'd stop posting on here in case they find you too and track you through your IP address.

Been a fatty. Its not cool. Not going back.

There are no mirrors in my Gym, just racks, bars and kettlebells :)

Same as above. Still have pictures lying around of when I was a bad 19st! Its amazing looking back at how I looked, at the same weight I am now.

That and my Gym is in the same room as my PC.. Can do curlz* and type.. I litterally am a keyboard warrior!

*No, im not a bicep boy :p

few factors

* look good naked
* feel good
* sex

Above all it is to feel good about myself. Looking good comes second to this imo :)

At the moment, returning to fitness. Usually, the fact that my weights routine help support my ambitions/hobbies outside the gym :). That and hot women in tight lycra.

@Rich I wish they'd ditch the mirrors in my gym, but meh. I use them to ensure my squat technique is ok. And perv at women on the cross trainers so they don't think I'm looking.

Had a gym membership for a few months, was hitting it 3 times a week for a few months in build up to the lads holiday, went to Magaluf for a week, it was eventful to say the least.

Now after working full time, seeing the girlfriend and so on I really have to be motivated to get myself to the gym and get my moneys worth out of my membership.

What motivates you?

the b*tches obtained

also, the ones in hotpants down the gym, god DAYUM!

and strength targets, mainly strength targets if i'm honest

Using them for perving or for form is more than acceptable imho. Using them to flex into is not ;)

Honestly I think weight lifting is becoming more popular amongst 'nerds' because of its incredible nerdiness! You can learn SO much and the constant progression in the gym is what motivates you. It has a scary amount of similarity to RPG gameplay/progression, honestly think about it. I think it's what motivates me sort of subconsciously on top of the usual not wanting to be a fat **** part that I'm more aware of.
