Metro 2033 On Amd cards

:s Anyone Have a problem starting the game up?

tried loading it tonight to test the benchmark and it crashes on the 4A screen then goes off, or most the time just goes black screen then back to the windows menu to say its crashed.. first time its ever happened.. again.. new card (amd) , played the game from start to finish on old card (460)

:s Hasn't really been an impressive start from switching to the red team.. :/

Anyone had this problem?.. latest drivers are installed aswell to my knowledge

Have you tried restarting Steam? I seem to recall quite a number of people experiencing initial start up problems with Metro, myself included.

To play metro I had to download the physx drivers separately then reboot my pc, it worked fine after that

i just tried downloading the physx drivers and it told me i had the current ones and aborted the installation process.. and yeah i tried restarting to no avail.. doesnt play batman AA either :/ what a pain in the ...

This, if you already have the physx drivers installed, uninstall and reboot, reinstall and reboot, cleared my problem up.

Yup, I had to uninstall the drivers that were auto installed by arkham asylum,

Remove them completely and install These, metro is worth the hassle

Done. restarted pc.. deleted every single file called nvidia or physx i could find on the harddrives (despite using driversweeper) .. reinstalled physx.. both games work now.. O.o

Thanks guys.. what a faff on!!.. agree though, I love Metro
