It was a bug, where if you were moving you would take more damage. However that has been "patched" and no longer applies.

I don't think it's patched into the current BETA though, I know it's been fixed and it wasn't present in the Alpha, but I think it was still in the current (old) BETA build, which is what some people are experiencing.

has it been patched into the beta or just for the release?

Definitely in the beta, I've stopped firing at people running around because I thought they were dead, too used to how it was before. Using probably twice as many shots per person now

Pretty happy with how Caspian plays considering I've not overclocked my i5 and my 6950 isn't either; am getting no less than 40fps give or take which is smooth enough for me - I'll wait and see how the retail version plays as can always grab another 6950 or overclock the i5 a bit :)

Turbo will kick in on your CPU anyway and boost it up to around 3.8GHz, that's where mine sat until I just changed the multiplier so it runs at 4.2GHz all the time, slightly noticeable difference as well actually... (when rendering :p)

Could just be rubber bullet syndrome. I know I've died a few times from a single sniper bodyshot while running and died instantly when running out of cover so it was defo there, and afaik there's been nothing updated into the BETA at all.

Single sniper body shots are in the game though anyway...

And the running out of cover could still be the client packet updating, and most probably is in my opinion.

I've certainly noticed a difference. There was a battlelog update with it mentioned. I would look but battlelog is hideously slow on this RDP connection from work...

Same, though on a 6870. If anything this plays smoother for me than metro does.

They need to sort crossfire out, single 6950 runs at 99% on its own, with two cards running at 50% each and never going higher.

Just found the update.

That is changes from the beta to final release, but I'm damn certain they've already implemented that into the beta, it's a completely different feel.

Not long range bodyshots killing in 1 hit. Aye thought so, I honestly don't think it's in the current build, that is something which is client side in BF3 and since there's been no updates to the BETA, I can only assume it's not implemented yet. I'm sure it doesn't matter, but if you have experienced dying rapidly while moving in the BETA it's 100% been fixed for release. it'll be the same as in the video which was shown.

You sure you're not CPU bound?

I'm running crossfire 6870s and Metro was maxing out both gpus on an i5 2500k @ 4ghz

I don't think so, when I first started playing the beta both GPUs were at 99%, now they aren't?

Can you try Caspian for me and see what happens? What drivers are you using?

Heaven and 3d Mark 11 both show an increase in performance so it can't be limited by CPU can it?

Well I know for certain that I was able to run around and one shot using the M40 and M98 snipers so long as they would hit high chest.

As for the running shots, I used to be able to, and infact did an awful lot, run around with the M40 and a holo sight on it, hitting people running around half the map away. Now, it's at least two shots.

Really don't agree with some of the damage though, getting (sometimes less than!) 40 point kill assists with something firing a .33 magnum round and hitting chests is rather annoying, and reminiscent of when they removed the one-hit kills on MOH and BC2.
