I want to get some form of ID so I can drink in pubs etc. I can't get provisional driving licence as it says on the form you need someone to sign it that you have known for 2years or more. (Not friends or family)

I ain't know my doctor or anyone like that for 2years so what other ID's is they that can be used?

Thanks

School teacher, there must be someone you know who can sign it. Family friend.

Freind of a friend of a friend. They only need to know you, they don't need to be a best friend.

http://www.citizencard.com/

i didnt read about it but it took 2 sec to google

Same thing, needs someone in a position of trust.

If you are in Scotland, you could get a Young Scot Card. I believe you only need to take 2 forms of ID (passport and birth certificate, or the like) to a validation point and you can get one. It has the PASS logo on it which will be fine for buying booze.

lol if he has 2 forms of ID like that whys he sweating

You can make up the bloody signature... or ask his nextdoor neighbour.

I didn't read the thing sorry i just see them on off licences counters and in some supermarkets advertised

A lot of people don't want to take their passport out, and pubs don't accept bank statements/birth certificates as ID .

Have you known your employer for more than 2 years? Or a local shop keeper/post office worker/bank teller etc? One of the qualifiers is 'local business-person', so could you find somebody along those lines?

Thanks guys.

Aswell as needing the forum to be signed it also says

The person signing the photo must:
Have known you personally for at least 2 years within the UK;

Not be a person living at the same address; and not a member of the post office staff processing the application.

Don't fancy going back to my old school as it ain't close no more. Could ask one of my mum friends suppose.

If I do it online dose a forum & photo still need to be signed?

If you have a new digitised passport (one where the photo and your signature appear on the same page), you don't send it in, just the number. But because you don't send in your passport, you need to get the photo you send in to them verified, because they don't have the passport to compare it to (they just run the passport number through a database to check you're legit).

At least that's how I interpreted it, when I read it the other day (I'm also applying for my provisional at the moment after I got ID'd for the first time in a pub here. Apparently having a full-on beard doesn't make me look old enough :p)

Do you have a job? can your boss sign it?

or are you looking to fake an id, because you really have to try hard not to know someone who can sign it.

OP needs more acquaintances. Off the top of my head I know of at least 10 people who could countersign my stuff.

Not even knowing one sounds very suspicious.
