Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Tried to join a few servers a couple of minutes ago, got in fine but stuck at a black screen so dropped out. Ill be trying to get on again around 7.00 ono. Enjoyed that last round, though i need to get a higher powered scope unlocked if im gonna play recon, managed a few kills though. Had a bloke in my squad who was possibly the worst tank machine gunner ever. Two enemy players were trying to attack my tank, he didnt spot either, (despite how obvious they were). Had to get out and do the job myself.Setter when you r playing next? It will be agood laugh again lol. In the last session I played horribly lol
Just been playing a few rounds on CB and I'm not sure about this game, the gameplay seems pretty all over the place.
The whole thing feels really clumsy and clunky. Not talking about the FPS just the actual engine. Also, you seem to get shot from everywhere without a clue of where it's come from. I know l2p etc but it just seems a mess.
It's probably because I'm not use to the map but didn't really enjoy it if I'm honest. Determined to persevere though!

Lol in the last round we managed to bag a kill or two from each other aswell
I shot JMC in the jet in that round and his reply wasn't very friendly
You just download it from Origin. I haven't ordered it yet either, i will be looking around tonight
Hmm planes are a load of bull, every iteration of BF has made it more arcadey and now, now that I decided to play it every other plane with AA is impossible to get away from and you don't get any, you don't get any counter measures, you stop for one second to line up on a target and that's it. CM should've been there from the start imo.
Same with helo's how anyone crashes is beyond me it's simplified arcade crap.

Top 10 Battlefield 3 Open Beta issues and how we are addressing them
We’re more than half way through the open beta and thrilled to see so many people still enjoying the game while continuing to give us great feedback. As part of our dedication to showing you how your feedback is directly affecting and improving Battlefield 3, here are the latest Top-Ten Community Issues that we’re addressing.
1. Squad issues: Cannot play with friends within same squad, squads get split up onto opposite teams, etc.
There will be improved squad functionality in the retail game (including but not limited to): the ability to create squads prior to launching into a game, sticking with your squad when joining a game and continuing together through future games (If team balance on the server allows it), inviting friends to a squad and changing squads once in game.
2. Regarding additional Open Beta content and fixes/patches for consoles, including PlayStation 3 issues with chat and party systems
While we would like to patch the Open Beta, DICE is currently focusing its available resources on polishing the retail game.
3. Will DICE have enough time to iron out everything by release?
Please see General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson's blog post regarding this question.
4. Can we have ability to change settings/options before deployment into match on PC?
The ability to modify your settings via the deploy screen has been added into the retail game.
5. Issues with terrain stability and “falling into the map” on Operation Métro
This has been fixed for the beta via a server side update.
6. Kill cam sometimes zooms out too far or outside the map
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.
7. A bug that sometimes keeps some players from being able to sprint
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.
8. Screen flickering/stuttering. Blue screen remains after respawn. Game locks up after deploying C4 (360)
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.
9. Downed bodies appear to be dead, but are not
The DICE team has been looking into this issue – which is caused by a combination of incidents in a confined area - and are working hard to address the issue for the launch of the retail game.
10. Why is the hit detection seemingly different from Battlefield: Bad Company 2?
The netcode is one of the many things that we are testing as part of the Open Beta and is not necessarily reflective of the final retail game. The DICE team appreciates and has heard the feedback you’ve provided and is further optimizing online play.
Don’t forget to keep submitting your ideas and issues to the Battlelog forums. Thanks to your help and participation we’re on track to make Battlefield 3 our greatest game to date! lol

Filter your search for UK MULTIPLAY servers, they are the only ones that are lag free and have been running smooth, got a good few games out of them.
I was really lost on CB until I found a good squad and we worked together, now all we need is good VOIP and we're sorted. I think I prefer being infantry as opposed to hanging around for a jet.

Waiting for jets gets very boring after a while and especially when there are 4-6 other players waiting to pound on the jet aswell lol.
I have personally enjoyed driving tanks more than jets so far.
Helis would be very good aswell but are let down by controls atm

Well just had my 1st bash on caspian and its battlefield as remember it. Fights in the air on the ground and even in the toilet. Faith restored, for all the stick dice are getting they sure are listening to people
I'm on a Q6600 @ 2.8GHz with a 5850 1GB, 4GB ram. Metro was fine, but Caspian brings my pc to its knees. I use 1680x1050 Res. I have tried Low, Med, High and Ultra settings and the difference between High and Low, in FPS terms is negligible if any.
FPS ranges from 20 to 40 typically, which "feels" pretty low in this game. It's not really very playable when compared with the perfromance I get in BC2. FPS in the areas where you want it to be high, around the centre of the map, drop quite considerably, especially during firefights.
I may as well play at high because the difference in FPS between that and low is almost nothing. As such, I have come to the rather disappointing realisation that the Q6600 just cant hack BF3. Those kind of results suggest that the CPU cant keep up.
Not really complaining though as Ive been meaning to upgrade anyway, just not quite so soon.........
Its completely unplayable, i'm really annoyed.
When i heard caspian border was up i was proper excited, serious letdown.
I can see though that without lag it would be awesome, and so has made me look forward to release even more.

Imagine what it'd be like on here if that kind of swearing, screaming and shouting was tolerated. It'd be either unbearable or hilarious.
Raven, you really shouldn't be getting yourself so upset over it. I'm guessing that the 1977 in your tag means you're about 34 and old enough to know better.
