So we lost our second ClanBase game last night. Not as badly as the first game, but still badly....

Half the reason being we have had different teammates both nights and we didn't know who would actually be playing until 10 seconds before starting the game...pretty frustrating.

The gameplay itself wasn't bad but we couldn't win a team fight.

We're playing our first match on Sunday and we've had the five who're playing sorted for about a week. This has meant that we're able to practice as a team and get to know what people want to play and how they play.

For example, I know when Tals plays Alistar he wants to be aggressive. This means I can play around this, plan ganks, watch his lane etc as I know what to expect. Another example was when I played with Tals, Bung, Animbly and Raptor. I know how each of the play so I can play accordingly. I knew Raptor would be aggressive so I could support this strategy.

Knowing how the people you're playing your match with play is so important.

Breakfast, i think we should put it down to not playing as a team very often,

I can play more than Cait, but certain hero's im better than others.

We should get some practise in before next weeks games imo.

Tals is like mega passive as alistar though :P i think i helped fix that a bit though after the game. A lot of the time people get mixed up with when they can be aggressive and control a lane and then when they should be conserving health ready for a burst to get lane control back.

To be fair though, in that game, you had a huge start with 2 kills and an assist. Rather than going for fast jungle farm you could have been stopping by the lanes over and over with lvl 2 boots, netting kills for lanes and yourself :)

The bottom lane had a slow start but, after some reassurance, tals gave me the freedom to push their AD out of lane repeatedly. A lot of it is about confidence, knowing when you're going to come out on top of a fight, even if its only just.

Yeah I probably should've just got madreds then l2 boots rather than going to wriggles first. I've found Tals to be quite aggressive with alistar before but that game he was a lot more defensive. We're working on it :p

I dont often play with you guys, and i dont think tals likes taking too many risks if he's in a game with me in case of making a mistake, more so in the same lane :)

Tals is like tally ho chaps I'm going in! He is a beast of an Ali recently though! Just got to make Taric not feel as boring... I think Tals needs his pink skin, yes that is it!

Someone likes me again at riot, 5 ranked wins in a row. Though 4 are as support because i'd rather play support myself and do it right instead of have someone who wont play well and just **** up the lane. I can gently nudge the AD in to playing well also then.

I have to say - whilst I have been playing Alistair mainly this week and Taric and Sona it is starting to get boring - whilst we won most of our games last night I didn't really enjoy them :(

In terms of aggressiveness, it's totally down to the play style - Anim was easy as an aggressive, once I figured if I got the stun in then they would die - but unfortunately it doesn't tend to happen like that. We do have to be careful about letting the lane just do what it wants whilst we do what we want, then ultimately the best farmer wins :(

In terms of strategy, whilst I hear what Bunny is saying - LOL doesn't keep it an even playing field, it's a bit like playing a Call of Duty MP where everytime you kill the opposition you get a faster attack rate/better move/stronger defence - can you imagine! So whilst you can change strategies a lot of the time you're then being starved in level and gold whilst the opposition are doing the exact opposite so you end up in the exponential graph to loss.

Yup, the team that makes the most efficient use of their time will have a big advantage. One of the reasons i hate solo ranked jungling, sometimes i end up spending 20sec in a bush waiting for the lane to make the move and force their opponent in to a bad position, often they seem to just wait for the slow jungler to stroll across the lane and even then decide that they wont join in on the gank .... frustrating.

Unfortunately Tals, playing support will sometimes be like that. I like going back to support when I don't want as much pressure on me but don't necessarily want to do it all night. That being said, I want to win. If that means playing Taric or Soraka because they're better than Alistar or Sona in a particular lane comp then so be it. Yes, it can be boring but if you're playing as though it were ranked or in the clanbase tourny then sometimes that's just going to be necessary.

Decided to pick Kassadin back up today, and my God, he's completely amazing. His Q completely shuts down any AP carry in mid and an early point on W solves his mana issues. The amount of triple/quadra kills I managed to pick up was insane. Able to escape most ganks, counters the current meta, and can literally close and create gaps at will.

I enjoyed him so much that I bought the Harbinger Kassadan skin, best skin in the game for aesthetics. :D

Although did have the biggest double facepalm fail moment in all the time I've been playing LoL. Basically the other team won a teamfight I was absent in and pushed mid on literally 1/5 of their health. They were so tightly packed that one force pulse would have been atleast a quad, so what happens? I riftwalk in, and as I point force pulse I put my cursor over the HUD which sends it spinning behind me. :( I died without getting a single kill. :(

I understand that better than most so when people are saying x be ap,y be ad, z be top - I quietly pick support and for this tourney that's fine. But it has dulled my enthusiasm for the game.
