** OFFICIAL Football Manager 2012 Thread **

I like how you can change the attribute colours on the fly instead of altering a config file , the newcastle squad is pretty much as i expected with cabaye & tiote having the best alround stats in the squad but i think the stats for tim krul & davide santon should be abit better but i am not sure how much tinkering they will do before release .

Started with Roma to get grips on the new format, won't continue though, mostly because it has 1 league active.

Got Thiago on loan. Is annoying some 10 teams want my player, but none offer, although I'm asking as much as he is valued (1.5M).

Also, Roma's stats are *****. but potential are nearly all 4 star.

As a lower league follower, FM's attention to detail and research is incredibly important to me.

I support Brentford. So far (in real life) we've not been outside of the top ten this season, have won our last six away games in a row and The Times had us as third favourites to get promoted - we also have a bit of a smalltime sugar daddy.

FM2012 has our players as rubbish - based on last year's attributes and our "better players" are those that have dropped out of the Premiership - and it's listed our media prediction as 17th!!! No paper, betting website or other media outlet has had us anywhere near 17th. They're so far wide of the mark, that I'm genuinely ****ed off about all this for the first time in the 15 years I've been playing FM/CM.

Having had a look at some of the League One and League Two teams, FM have really let themselves down...

It seems as if they've overly catered for the EPL/Euro league's fans, and completely ignored the lower leagues they've previously served so well...

Send them an email / post on Si community forums and tell them what you think is wrong toshj?

surely that wouldnt work? :D

It's just the little things that they've got wrong. One of our top players knocked in 28 league goals in League Two last year, and his attributes are almost embarrassingly wrong... grrrr.

it's the researchers you need to be talking to.

go to the si forums and post in the data issues forum.

Its usually pretty easy to get a hold of the researcher for you club online too, the guy who does southampton posts on saints web a fair bit which is helpful, though the stats tend to be agreed between the main researcher and at least 2 others who watch a few games.

Email SI and sound annoyed as they can usually sort these things out :p (or its just the demo and things will be better come release day)

This, if your not happy then you can probably very easily have a discussion with whoever actually watched your club and helped decide the ratings. SI don't employ researchers, they simply recruit people who meet the criteria, usually at least a season ticket holder but preferably somebody who watches the kids as well as the first eleven.

The data forum is their for people to have their say.

I know they don't normally change a massive amount from year to year, but I'm really struggling to find anything new that makes me want to buy the new one.

There are loads of changes this year. Listen to the Football Manager podcast.

First Impressions.

I've not play for very long, but I've quite pleased with it so far.

It's very complicated, they've given you many more options and statistics from the off, I'm not convinced this is a good thing.

I'm looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in to the demo though, will settle down Monday and have a proper play.

Think my first demo game will be Sheffield Wednesday (the squad is already wrong :p)

Looks nice mind, despite the amount of information they've packed on the screen, which a new player could find intimidating.

:p its all about team building, fitness development and making the team into something awesome without blowing the bank on buying loads of players in (all the training stuff is what iv been impressed and confused with so far)

You could also say mick mccarthy's wolves is in the same catergory. He built a squad with no money which got them into the prem and still they havent done a sunderland and spent spent spent.
