Hmm, I'll maybe pick up a copy elsewhere of just the normal game then.

Dislike giving Game any of my money.

It's out on the 22nd isn't it? Strange.

Aye, 12am on the 8th in Paris = 11pm on the 7th in London :p


I've got 4 characters on the go just now: Jedi Consular, Republic Trooper, Sith Inquisitor & Bounty Hunter. I'm going to leave the Jedi Knight and Imperial Agent until I'm off the starting world with the others. I'm leaving the Sith Warrior alone because I'm going to roll that with the Guild, and I'm leaving the Smuggler alone as that'll be my first alt.

Very much enjoying the stories, gameplay isn't half bad either ;)

Glad to hear people are enjoying the game.

A couple of questions though, if you wouldn't mind :)

How does the combat feel? Is there weight to it?

Care to shed some light on the bounty hunter? Fun class? I had my heart set on a Powertech bounty hunter (because he/she has a flame thrower :D) so was just wondering if my time will be well invested. I've never tanked in an MMO (was mostly healing during my brief time with WoW)

Combat feels amazing, i've played Trooper, Smuggler and a Sith Marauder and they all feel very unique and great fun to play.

For me the smuggler felt a little clumsy at times.

Haven't played, so sadly i can't comment.
 
How are people finding performance in the game? But unsure if my setup will be enough or not:

Intel E8400 @ 3ghz
4GB RAM

Graphics card is current,y a lowly nothing will be buying a 6870 1GB card, and if needed an extra 4GB RAM, but really want to avoid a whole new motherboard/CPU/ram purchase if I can get away with it for now!

I have a 2 GHz C2D, 2 GB ram and an 8800gt and on medium settings the game runs perfectly fine. Loading times could be a little better but it is not something that is unplayable bad.
 
Thanks mate, only got a 3450 ATM cause my old 4890. Lew up so bought it as a space filler for £27!

maybe new graphics and possibly more ram might saveit for high quality then!

My spec is:

i7 930 @ 4.2ghz
6bg DDR3 Dominator
2x 1gb GTX 460's
128gb Corsair SSD

Game clocks in at 22gb install, loading times are around 3-10 secs.

Getting a constant FPS of around 80, which dips due to amount of players, combat and other things. Its been as high as 120 fps.

I'm away so haven't played too much. The 5 or so hours I have played. It's been very good. The only time I had issues was at the start areas where there was loads of people, my fps dropped. Settings all on high, only thing I have low is shadows,

In fairness that doesn't mean you're allowed to - just reduces risk of getting caught - it's still a breach of the NDA
