She's not keen on the SGS, I think it's too big for her.

I've recommended the Desire S and the Galaxy W. I took her into CPW to see the Desire S and she thinks it's prettier than the Galaxy W so I think it's the current favourite.

I would go for the Desire S or the Incredible S. They're quite similar, differing mostly in design and the fact that the Incredible S has rotating capacitive buttons.

I know that I've been the only one to mention it but I will repeat HTC Rhyme. It's not out just yet so we don't know what sort of prices it'll be rocking, but it's easily one of the best looking Android phones and the accessories are all genuinely useful, not to mention it was specifically designed for girls using android.

You can get the iPhone 4 free for £30/month. It would probably suit her perfectly. It's slightly over budget but not by much.

Granted it's a 3.5" screen and not 3.7", but that doesn't really matter.

What are the text/minutes though, I always find Apple are the absolute worst in charging for crap minutes.

Apple don't have anything to do with it really, it's just the networks ripping people off due to the popularity of the iPhone!

I'm on a dodgy connection on my tablet at the moment but the sites to check are e2save and mobiles.co.uk etc.

Just got my wife a Desire S, shes very pleased with it, but not with me after I rooted it and shoved Android 2.3.4 and Sense 3.0 on it

This is her first smartphone after coming off a bog standard Samsung dumbphone.

As far as I can tell, the Rhyme is a Desire S in a prettier body with a set of very cool and useful accessories, so it might be worth waiting for?
