To Bad Company 2 or not???

Hi All

I've just put together a nice shiny new pc, mainly with the intention of playing BF3, but until it comes along, I'm contemplating getting hold of Bad Company 2...

However, having not played any games with environmental destruction (well besides source games) or infact any news games at all really. I'm wondering if I might be better off leaving it for now to give battlefield 3 the maximum impact when I first play it?

Any thoughts anyone?

Also wondering about Homefront if I can pick ip up super cheap??

I tend to agree that it's quite similar to BF3. Not with your opinion of that being a good thing though :p

@OP

If you pick up BFBC2 cheap I imagine you can have a lot of fun with it before BF3 comes out. Even when BF3 is out, BFBC2 is quite a different game so I imagine you'll still be able to play it without feeling like you're just playing a worse version of BF3.
 
BC2 is still capable of "blowing people away" on max details!

It's not graphically far behind BF3, the graphics certainly will not disappoint.
 
BC2 is a great game, But imo it's not worth you getting it now as you'll want to spend all your time ranking up and mastering BF3
 
BC 2 is easily one of the best PC multiplayer games about. However, you will be needing to invest insane amounts of time getting unlocks etc. in BF3 and your time is probably better spent there (assuming you have played the beta and loved it?).
 
MoH's multiplayer is horrible! One of the worst I've ever had the misfortune of playing.

Bad Company 2 is awesome, I'll be biased here because I'm unimpressed with BF3, but I reckon you should get it, rinse it, then get BF3 when it's cheap.
 
Deep breath...He's saying MOH is not similar to BF3 so if you buy MOH you can keep playing MOH as it is different enough from BF3 to warrant playing.

I don't think its that different at all to bf3 or bc2, so just get bc2 if you ask me its much better than moh.

I can't say I enjoyed BFBC2. Looked like quite a simple game, in terms of how it looks and the gameplay.

I didn't enjoy online as it's very fast paced, well, for me anyways. With that said, I still can't get away from COD: UO mp :P.
 
Its not different at all!

I have both bc2 and moh, and when I was playing moh mp all I kept thinking was "I wish I was playing bc2, this is just a lamer bc2".

No. Goon is saying that MoH and BF3 *are* similar.

I agree with him. MoH sucked and so does....
