Found this from XS & OCN - there was an unboxing video, but this was set to private.

EDIT: I guess someone did mirror it in the end or is very lucky to actually have one (note no sound).

Probably so - are those 4 SATA 3 ports native? The USB 3 ports appear to be running off 2 chips - see below the 'USB 3.0 Boost' text on the board.

I think the maximum number of USB 3.0 ports supported by one controller chip is 4. The motherboard appears to have 8 USB 3.0 ports hence 2 controller chips.

Really don't like their choice of colours. Looks like one of the cheaper Gigabyte boards.

I somewhat agree - the went overboard on the blue again.

Still has a nice black PCB compared to the GB offerings though.

So I take it you DONT have a rough price range?

I think I know what my next mobo is going to be (obviously after I buy another 6 sticks of RAM and they fix the teething issues like the P67 boards).

Currently no. We just have a sample of one, no pricing as of yet!

Agrred, the colour scheme of the Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 looks as though they had a 'bring your colour blind kid to work day' and then let them loose on the ‘gopping colour pallet tab' for the HS and slots.

This will be the board i go for i think.

I have had all the rampage boards and really dont need all the gubbins they add.

My kingston hyperX will go with this nicely.

Hopefully will get to see all the X79 offerings at LITS next weekend

The fact they don't offer an unlocked quad is going to be a cost ball breaker. Stumpung up for the 6 core is a worrying prospect

I would opt for SB but those DIMM slots keep calling me...

ive already bought my case, new ssd ram psu just need a new mobo and cpu and il keep my current gfx cards for now.
