Who here owns a Renaultsport?

That's not a rep though is it, that's purely just the incorrect engine in the car surely?

I thought a "rep" was when people made non-sport Clio's look like the Renaultsport variants using the body kit (front/rear bumper, front wings and side skirts)

I skimmed the thread, theres mentions it could possibly be a rep. Only other reason would be the previous engine blew, and they put the wrong engine in.

There was a guy who created a full rep on CS. Fitted all the body kit, all the interior, AND the engine and drivetrain from a 172 into a 1.2 Clio.

Sounded utterly pointless, and then you realised it was still registered as a 1.2 and taxed and insured as such too!

So still pretty much utterly pointless?

Yep, but if you have no moral compass and no issue with invalid insurance and fraud, then its a sure fire way to save money on tax and insurance.

Although I expect it probubly cost more to make than it would have to buy a 172 and pay the insurance and tax on it.

But hey, who's to question Chav logic.

It was white as well....

Totally wanting to crank up my car hunt but due to budget really looking online till the correct ones come in on budget is the best I can do. But there is this one:
http://pistonheads.com/sales/3309599.htm

So looking to send off an email of enquirey, but with my past luck and not doing enough of this wondering what I should be asking.
Got a list:
1) define "minor faults"
2) Any more modifications apart from the 182 wheels.(i want a close to standard as possible)
3) When were the belts changes?
4) when is the tax till
5) how many previous owners?

But part of me feels this is an awful lot to question in first email. Obviously will write it better and not just a list but anything I should also be asking?

lady driver -commutes to edinburgh every day

Why do people, especially on a hot hatch, think this is a good thing.

By it being a women driver does it mean it hasn't been ragged at all, meaning its owned by a typical stereotypical women driver? Which would then mean, it hasn't had the oil checked regularly, and generally not treated like how a hot hatch should.

That's always my arguement. That yes maybe it's driven with care, by typically maintenance wise it hasn't been looked after.

I wouldn't consider women, or the stereotypical women to drive with care going by ex's, mum and little sister. My mates Type R has crazy amount of wheel damage done my his wife, I could never let a women drive my car.

As a generalization, I find that women tend to just 'drive' cars. They get in it, start it up and go. They occasionally put fuel on, and that's pretty much it. They also have less concern over things like wheels against curbs, or door dings in car parks.

I went to view a Mini for my GF once, and when I opened the bonnet I disturbed a load of cobwebs! The girl had bought it from a garage who had just serviced it, driven it for a year, and now it was due another service, she was selling it. She didn't even know where the bonet catch was.

So no, 1 lady owner from new is not always a good thing.

It also has no xenons, I think it's had a front end crash in its lifetime! I'd steer clear to be honest!

Fair enough. I should just run through all possible ones I am interested in through you guys!

This is the one I went to view at the weekend, but when I got there it had a lot more modifications giving it some fantastic chavtasticness.

Shame because the basic car itself was tidy as anything. Just wished he put it back to those pictures beforehand.
