What you guys think?

Aye, I know the thing. Just seems pricey that's all. If you guys like cocktails, then check out The Blue Dog, it's a class cocktail bar. It's quite small, service is top notch, they have a live pianist. Would make for a great stop for a birthday drink.

Honestly, I really dislike it. The big brand across it, eugh. Could get a much nicer, classier necklace for the price.

Post me many many MANYYYY links on ideas you may have ive been scouring the internet and am deperssed at the overly junkified stuff i have seeen i would really like soemthing classy and elegant for her.

Is she Scottish? There's some really nice, elegant Rennie Macintosh jewellery which may be a bit different and nice if she's Scottish.

Swarovski pieces are beautiful but yes the rhodium that makes the chains so shiny is plated over silver (it may be another metal) . When you buy a piece you are warned not to shower in it as it can ruin the finish.

If your other half likes to keep her jewellery on all the time it may not be the best option. I shower and take baths and sleep in my necklace, wouldn't be able to in a swarovski and I can be lazy so would forget to put it on each day

Something from Swarovski?

Nice stuff, not too expensive.

Recently bought this from there;

I did look through the necklaces, but elegant doesn't narrow it down hugely. Have a browse through, I'm sure you know what she likes :p

If you want hearts, what about something like this:

These are also very nice:

Call me a poof, but I quite enjoy looking at jewellery...

I got my GF this for her 21st - http://www.swarovski.com/Web_US/en/1081963/product/Nevermind_Bracelet.html
You could get her the necklace version, my bird loves it. It's very sparkly and definitely gives you the 'wow' factor when opening it. Her mother was speechless when I gave it to her :D.

The diamond one is really nice i saw that too, Pure silver isnt it? not plated or anything.

That Swarovski stuff is it tacky by any chance? some of it seems so.

Nope. The jewellery is lovely. They have a large range in glass/crystal animals that are expensive and widely collected. I don't understand them at all, and think they look quite tacky. But most of their jewellery (at least the sparkly sort of stuff we are looking at) isn't tacky at all. I'd suggest that the Tiffany branded stuff is much tackier. Tiffany is popular because the celebs and the such have made it a lifestyle brand, at least the stuff that you'll be buying.

Which diamond one are you talking about?

That's really nice.
