Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

No idea who it is, but the stats appear to be for a fictional version of MW3 by the community of that particular site.

I guess there's a chance some a right, but the source isn't MW3.

I snipped these from a Q&A with Robert Bowling on a Nordic site.

Are you using the same engine as in MW2 and what enhancements have been done to that engine?

No, we're using what we call the MW3 Engine that has been built up from the engine used in Modern Warfare 2. We've made a lot of advancements in the streaming technology that has allowed us to make larger levels than we've ever done before as well as more detailed areas, while maintaining that 60FPS, fast paced gameplay that makes Modern Warfare what it is. We've also made advancements in AI (especially in Spec Ops Survival), lighting, animation, and especially the audio engine, introducing features such as Bullet Whiz-by that gives you more situational awareness when a bullet hits close by.

Hi, the MW3 Multiplayer build that was showcased at the COD XP had pretty much the exact same HUD that MW2 had. Is that final, or just an old build that had elements from MW2 in it?

This is the last question, thanks everyone!

The multiplayer HUD in Modern Warfare 3 has kept a lot of the great elements from Modern Warfare 2 but has also added in some new elements based on fan feedback, such as the ability to scroll through the killstreaks you have unlocked, that way you can choose to call in UAV before you call in your airstrike. In addition there is now a ticker that shows you how close you are to your next killstreak as well as an icon so you can see which killstreak you will unlock and which are already unlocked.

Beyond that we have changed the placement of several UI elements and when they appear to make it less distracting and more informative.

When I googled I found those stats on a thread from July called "JayBowls's Gun Balancing System" under the forum section "Community Made MW3 Project".

That's not where I got them from but upon investigation it seems like the post I took it from assumed those were the MW3 gun damage stats.

So who knows if they are true or not but after looking at those fictional stats I'm led to believe they are not.

Here's one for you Alrik

That includes Tubes and claymores and pretty much all equipment. Apparently

Danny will be getting the game for sure now.

Beaten :D

So basically this is just MW2 map pack. Thank god they went back to a gun game :D

So who gets the advantage this time. The host and the other players suffer or the blops way where the host gets screwed and the others have a better time :D

When my bro played it he said it felt the same as MW2 but that was on a local connection which is a million miles away from internet.

But that being said it has apparently the same net code as MW2 as "apparently" Black ops had.

Right just spoke to my bro again, he says he only played spec ops and the guns didn't have the massive recoil Blops had instead they were much tighter although he says that there was a little more than in MW2, he also had a go with the Scar-L and recons that the guns are powerful enough to drop quickly.

Robert Bowling has said they've optimised the netcoding for this game so it doesn't take up as much bandwith as MW2 so it should run as good,if not better, than MW2. That is if they've taken into account the Theatre as that was supposedly what screwed the host in Black Ops.
I have faith it'll run fine. And that Host Pro will be back.

Where has that come from?

If I'm understanding it correctly is that saying that the regular version of scavenger spawns you with extra ammo and lets you pick up more ammo from the blue bags? Here's a video of someone using scavenger and he doesn't get spawned with full ammo like the image you posted suggests:

Also for the equipment resupply it's been confirmed that tubes will only resupply if the person you killed was using tubes and he hadn't used them all when he died, but I've seen no mention about claymores. I really hope it only works this way for tubes and claymores, frags etc can be resupplied like normal, but as I've said previously there has been nothing official about scavenger (and the pro version) because nobody at CoD XP was a high enough level to unlock it, so they were stuck using one of the default classes which had scavenger on.

Sorry if its been asked (its a long thread) has there been any mention of a combat mode like BO in MW3 ?

hhhmmm i was gunna buy it for my son but dont really want him playing online (for now) BO was perfect for him coz it had offline combat training :(
