I was planning on using a GTX 580 3mb on my Sabertooth 990FX board with a AMD 1100T processor.

Do you think I will encounter issues getting good performance out of my rig?

I'm thinking if I buy a 1100T now as long as it works well with the GTX 580. Then I can always sell the processor on if AMD bring out something worthwhile or if the BDs stabalise.

If you game at 1080p and above with the details cranked up you will be MORE than fine.

In most newer games your FPS will be the same as someone running a Q6600, to Bulldozer, to a 5.0Ghz 2600k. This is because most modern games are GPU limited, rather than CPU limited so unless you just play WOW all day and don't encode Blu Ray size files I wouldn't worry at all about it, just crack on. You may even fine some instances where more cores helps, and put performance right up there with the big boys such as BF3.
