woohoo, I've reached 400 gold! I've started using the auction house quite a bit and I have the auctioneer mod installed. Is this the thing that adds the extra column on the end for %? I tend to price my items quite low as they're all very low level herbs. One thing I noticed last night thought was that people are actually splitting my stacks for resale. I sold a stack of 20 goldthorn for 70g, 20 mins later I see it up in stacks of 3 goldthorn at 18g each... is this worthwhile? I'm just wondering if I should start selling smaller stacks at a higher unit price?

Farming low level herbs/ores can be very profitable as people want to power level various professions without taking up herbalism or mining.
Lower your settings ingame.
I was the same on nef, even if you have rock solid 60fps, lower the settings to low and have minimum settings this solved it for most.
what is the horde side of that server like?
Just thought id mention, theres a new pet coming to blizz store and you can buy it and it goes to your character, and its boe but only goes to one character instead of all now. So pretty much buy it sell it and get gold.

What class are you? I farmed for one and a half hours yesterday with a potion of treasure finding in deepholm. Made 4k so far from selling mats on the AH. As a Mage tailor I get shed loads of embersilk which is really expensive on my server.
I'm a priest, I'm going to start an alt to take on some extra professions at some point but as the priest is my first character at the moment I really want to spend the time levelling him. The actual mobs have been very easy so far (up to eastern plaguelands) so I'm not having to buy any equipment but when I reach wotlk levels and above I want to have a nice stash of gold set aside.
I think tailoring and enchanting will be a decent way to go once I get this alt up and running.

I had this issue when using wi-fi.
Seems all the action was overflowing the wireless adapter.
I bridged the wi-fi adapter with my network card, now works flawlessly!

edit: when I say social... they are actually a 25M HC guild, but they are quite happy for socials to come in and slack. Also, there are a few 10 man alt groups and a RBG group I think.

Started doing some BGs on paladin as ret. Really fun spec to play, just pray you don't see any mages or get sapped by any rogues. One I did yesterday... 
Reset day means back to Firelands today though. Got Shannox and Baleroc down on Monday night, came very close on Beth and had a few attempts at Alysrazor. Hopefully we can get all 4 down tonight.

Not sure how I feel about this. The article is lol worthy though, essentially activison saying people are making money off our game and only we should be able to do that!!!
Suppose for those with RL money and no real time to farm it's good for them and those who play a lot won't need to spend real money on them, just use the gold they have hoarded. Might stimulate the market a little.

May have to message you in game then, I wouldn't have the free time anymore for 25 HC raiding, the odd 10 man alt run I'd possibly be interested in.
Yeah no worries. I joined at the beginning of Cata but realised I didn't really have time for 25man HC raiding, but they let me stay in as social. Over time more of my RL friends have moved to the server, and they've just let us invite friends to the guild, mainly for money towards GB, perks etc.
Yeah I usually run BWD/BoT/sometimes Firelands on a random day a week, just depends on who's on really.

Probably going to resub for a month, thinking of levelling my priest from 80-85. How is their healing nowadays?
Have all the healing classes been balanced? When I was playing at the beginning of cata it was paladins>>>>everyone else and priests were right at the bottom of the pile by quite a way (especially for 5 man hcs).

I think Healing is pretty much down to the player now. I've seen different classes always topping meters. All classes are pretty much different on every fight.
Sometimes you will see a Resto Druid molesting the meters, then on the next you would see them at the bottom with a Holy Paladin at the top. I love it.
