Cancelled silver arrow order. What now?

I've finally given up hope of Silver Arrow's ever coming in to stock so i've cancelled my pre-order. On a similar budget what would your choice of 2500k cooler be?

Noctua D14, little bit more but just as good (if not better under some circumstances). Personally I prefer the SA but with no stock you will have to weigh up is it worth the wait. Sods law dictate as soon as you order something else they will arrive in stock

. Give OCUK a ring and see when stock is due perhaps?

I saw on a competitor's site that stock is due on the 20th and i just cant be bothered waiting any more. I've found a place selling the Noctua for £10 more than the SA so i guess i'll just stump up the cash.

I dont suppose you know if it fits ok in a CM690 II Adv case?

You'll be fine.

The maximum CPU cooler height is 177mm and the NH-D14 is 160mm.

yep both are the cream of the crop, my prize silver arrow turned up yesterday from china so, make sure ya case is big enough, and if it's for an amd system, nimble fingers are very useful

They are usually bent up tbh with stuff missing, although you can DSR it less the return postage cost if you are not happy.

You can get away with a lower end cooler on the 2500K as they don't run that hot (vs the i7s) unless you push them 4.7GHz+, volts depending ofc.

I think he means specifically to that example, why it was returned, what's wrong with it etc.

Better to go for another option than a lesser version of what you want. If you've been waiting and you go for that one then end up sending it back you may still be waiting to get your cash back when it pops up for sale else where new.

My come with missing accessories..... what like the mounting brackets!

Would a Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler not do the job for a lot less on the 2500k's?
