CPU cooler to fit lian li v300

Have you considered a H60 or similar?

What components have you got fitted in the case?

If there's still room for a 120mm fan plus small rad then the H60 or the cheaper Antec Kúhler H2O 620 may be a soltion for such a confined space.

Do you think the rad would fit within your setup?

tbh i looked at this, i could fit it at front, but i could also mod my case and fit it externally on top :)

Would it not spoil the look fo the case stuck on top?

If it could be rigged at the front, internally, it should keep your q6600 nice and frosty considering the confined space - probably one of the few occasions where an all-in-one water solution is better than a quality air alternative as it's expelling the heat directly out of a confined space (if you choose to vent rather than draw air into the case).

Seems the cooler has to be less than 100mm height which means something like scythe shuriken but i am not sure if it's still too big?

I've done some drastic case mods over the years, but I agree an internal solution would be more aesthetically pleasing. The air flow through a v300 leaves a lot to be desired, perhaps I might think about making an additional/larger vent in the front.

Good luck with it - let me know what you decide (pics would be cool) as it sounds an interesting project for such a confined space.
