Have you sorted the issue with your Asus board yet? Was it overheating on the NB or something?

I'd say stick with the X3 for now or source a cheap 955BE

Edit: Huge audio

Lets not go there, ZZZAC has seen his fair share of jesting here :) eBay is fine if your eyes are open and you know how to see a scam. I've had many good components from the bay, inc my 95w 1055t for £80

Tbh if you haven't got much money, and 8150 at what more than 200 notes ? how much money is not much?

get a Phenom II 955 or a Hexcore 1090T tbh

more important question would be, whats the system being used for?

Audiophile sound play back? get the audio set up

Gaming? get the processor :)

ebay can be good, but no my asus is still bricked, and my ram is most probably aswell, and one of my raptors broke so i cant use a 36gb hdd for long, just sold my bike (e.g im getting paid like £345 next week, and when i say huge audio, i mean a 10" 750 car amp and sub combo with a few good pairs of speakers

HUH?

ebay is trash if you don't know what your doing tbvh

asus bricked? asus what? mobo? graphics card?
Ram? what ram?
Raptors are old tech, buy something new tech, brand new, that works from a reputable dealer :)

getting paid like?
you either are or your not, whats like?

small tip, you start a thread, ask questions, smarter people come along and ask some more relevant questions, your meant to answer them, so they can point you in the right direction, haven't you learnt that yet?

ahha well you have missed countless threads of amusement, long story short i bought a load of trash and wasted a load of money now i need a new hard drive and motherboard and ram, but i have money left over for bulldozer, but i could get a audio system instead, what would be better in you're opinion

Don't bother with car audio, that's for chavs  The only ICE you should be worried about (in a few years) is what the Audi/BMW/VW reps can ply you with on a new car

i didn't miss, i avoided, it's not hard ;)

so maybe you will listen this time?

buy brand new!, or at least buy from the MM on here, see we were all right,

ignore bulldozer, if you've got that much money left over for basically a new system i would recommend an i5 SB based system, better bang for buck than AMD's new tech

the bulldozer benchmarks are in, and they're pretty rubbish tbh. the i5 2500k beats them pretty much everywhere and is cheaper: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/288?vs=434
i think the best thing to do with your money since your motherboard and RAM are broken is to sell the processor (i assume this works) and get an i5 2500k, Z68 motherboard and 4-8GB RAM from a reputable dealer

something like this will be great, and if you buy it from OcUK it is either going to work out of the box or you will be able to RMA it or send it back under DSR if it doesnt work or you dont like it

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £167.99
1 x Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £99.98
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £47.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) £29.99
Total : £345.95 (includes shipping: FREE).

*edit*
added replacement hard drive and bulldozer benchmarks

Don't want to go for the intel route as i already have a cpu and it does me just fine, i think ima just get new mobo ram and hdd and then a big audio system

the reason i suggested moving to intel is because bulldozer is clearly pants. it is also the only upgrade path you will have if you choose a motherboard that is compatible with your current processor, whereas the motherboard i suggested should work with ivybridge as well which is a nice upgrade over the already far superior sandybridge

*edit*
just checked, gigabyte does a 22nm bios for it so presumably thats ivybridge

This audio system is for a car right? you are not going to try and run a automobile 12V system in your bedroom or something?

Just RMA the board and RAM (are you sure that they are faulty? Memtest?) and move on. The CPU is fine for now

Do you have a car yet? Do you know the cost of running one? Srsly :)

Yes. Yes he is.

Also, WHO CALLS THEM AUTOMOBILES!?

To the OP.

Bulldozer is Awful against competition - read the reviews.
Stereo system, you could do much better out of a dedicated home theatre amp + Speaker setup...

kd

a 12v "automobile" set-up in you're room is really very simple... because i know the right computer psu to power the amp and its cheep relable 1300watts and can easily provide 100amps + on 12v
