How often do you change your car oil?

Every 3,000miles is a bit of joke TBH.
I wouldn't say that.......goes by what kind of driving....

I myself do 1000's of 1.5mile trips in heavy stop-go traffic, which also means lots of cold starts (hot & cold oil cycles)

3000 miles in my car would most likely equal to about 10,000miles in a car that does mainly only motorway driving..

Aye... the sound of you completely missing the point.

And you... That awkward moment when you think the other person is dense, only to realise it is you :p

I got the point, flush it away coz its free... now you work mine out as clearly you haven't yet.

I'll get mine changed when the computer says service.
2 green lights on at the moment, even though it had an oil inspection a year ago.
Although it was on 4 green lights when it got back from the service. Dealer said it's never on 5

Just done my front brake discs and pads yesterday. Now to order a service kit for my car for next weekend. Damn I hate the price of oil

I didn't think anyone was dense. Clearly you are intellectually superior so feel free to spell it out for me, sir.

Get my changed at the annual service - the SLK takes expensive oil and tbh I don't do much more than 5K a year in it either. The oil is starting to look a little dirty now, but it gets serviced beginning of January.

Not superior, just not inferior like your initial whoosh suggested ;)

The fine would mean he would no longer have "free" oil. Not so exciting, just an almost witty addon to your comment.

Anyway, moving swiftly along to something more interesting :D

Well your original reply didn't really give a hint of any sarcasm, especially as you seemed to think that the reply you were quoting was a serious suggestion.

You're also assuming he would have been caught and subsequently fined. :p

Also, the oil would still be free whether or not he was fined! ;)

Either way, it's pretty stupid to change the oil so often.

Yep he is still changing his oil too often.

Pointless, and a waste of his time, but that happens.
