I did the silly thing and washed my GS2 and its broke, tried various things to sort it but nothing has worked.

Now I just want a nice dual core phone if possible that is cheap and has good browsing and decent video and able to take decent pictures but that's not the most important a snappy phone with good web browsing is, I have been looking at the following.

Motorola Atrix
Xperia Arc/ Ray/ Neo.

What would you suggest, I have seen the Atrix can be picked up for a good price is that pretty much the best out of the 3.

How long have you waited for it to dry out?

I once got washed away down a very over flooded ford - blind bend downhill whilst cycling with friends :p

That was a good few years ago and I nearly gave up and bought another phone before it started to work again, it took 4-5 days to dry out on my window sill with everything removed.

I'd look into every avenue of fixing it first tbh.

Fix the SGS2 ...or if you fancy a trip to Japan.

OMAP4430 + 1GB.
Epic camera.
Waterproof!
Only 9.8mm and 128g.
Trademark fugly jap front.

What did you do, stick it in the washing machine on economy wash?

It was dirty so thought it needed a wash :p, sadly didn't realise it was in my trousers as I picked a stack up off the floor to wash.

Have you tried sticking it in a bowl of dry rice for a few days? The rice will draw out any moisture......

Who leaves their phone in their pocket.

Mines in my pocket when im active, when im not, bosh, onto my desk.

Or obviously in my hand whilst using it :).

Atrix is my suggestion too.

While a lot of people suggest the rice trick it's worth noting that while this may dry it out, the problem is usually that the innards will now have been subjected to salt water / other chemicals which will corrode the un protected circuits over time. This is the real killer when stuff get's washed.

Just managed to bag a brand new Atrix for £230 delivered so pretty happy with that, just hope they ok.

I seen there is some good roms out for them now so will no doubt put one on if its possible.

I watched a episode of Gadget show last week and tried all there ideas and nothing happens, its life accidents happen you just goto get on with it.

Accidents do happen but I think you've got to be pretty careless to put a phone in a washing machine. Did you just totally forget where your phone is or something? :p

Yeah first time I have ever so much have damaged a phone or lost one in anyway so kinda gutted and I thought it was downstairs but to my shock it wasn't.

Life's to short so will save up for the next best thing coming out in April time.

Can you point me in the direction of that?

Got it off the bay mate but there are others I have seen on there for £250 delivered with Express Delivery or £240 standard delivery but brand new factory sealed ones, I almost went for one myself.
