Just ordered a *B Grade* 560ti. Thoughts please

CS got back to me earlier this morning and apologised for the delay. And upgraded me to DPD Next day! Excellent :) Can't wait :P I'm like a kid at xmas hehe

order few items from clearance and they have been fine, all looked brand new so wouldn't worry, sometimes, you get bargains!

Thought I'd do a quick update. Received the card Friday as I hoped and opened it up with excitement :)
Here's what I saw when opened up the box

Why it came in such a massive outer box is beyond me! But box does look a little tatty. Like it had been kicking around for a while. Also didn't expect it to be a PNY card!

Inside I'm pleasantly surprised to see most of the card's accessories, manual, and CD there! Only things missing seem to be the game code and a HDMI cable that is supposed to come with that particular PNY card.

The card has clearly been opened before, as the sticker on the anti static bad had been broken. And the card had some greasy finger marks over it.

So I assume some one had it, changed their mind and sent it back.

I have had some issues installing the card, performance was terrible. I put this down to drivers and after a few trial and error attempts realised the HD audio drivers for the 560ti were conflicting with my X-fi drivers. Just chose not to install the Nvidia ones and everything now seems fine... Pretty happy with my bargain spot so far. Off to try out some games now! :)

I had problems with performance with stuttering graphics and sound stuttering/crackling as well with my 460. Turned out to be as you say the HD Audio of the graphics card conflicting with the X-Fi. I had to completely disable it in the device manager.

Let us know how it's running when you've got a few minutes to set it up how you like it :-)

p.s. I'm still waiting for my 560ti 1gb to turn up as well on Monday hopefully :-D

Weren't all the refurbished cards that OcUK were selling PNY?

You may have a sold > returned > refurbished > sold> returned > sold again card.

Only tested a couple of games. Crysis 2 and F1 2011. Seems to be performing great. Coming from an 8800GT it's a massive leap! haha

Oh no. As funny as that is. I hope it isn't true... But maybe that's why it was £119.99

Toothy1911.. does it really matter as long as it's working fine? Stress that puppy out whilst you have the warranty and see if you can find any faults.

Sounding very much like you got a real bargain though :-)

I agree it isn't much, but nevertheless that is the reality.

i'm confused, what were you trying to say

As it turned out they were all PNY.

oh, definitely not OP's card then :p

Why would a PNY card have warranty with Gigabyte? ;)

WTF?! I was saying that, as it was a gigabyte card and it has 3 yrs warranty from manufacture date, and the card is less than a year old, it must have a minimum of two years
