So, today I was simply meant to buy a new OEM pressure plate for my Ducati 748's dry clutch as the current one has seen it's last days and needs replacing :(

Anyway, so I start looking around for prices... Then seeing other things, one thing led to another and next thing I know, I am clicking 'Confirm Purchase' on a very nice CTMOTO Clutch pressure plate!!! In black :) Also got some new +15% strength springs and black anodised spring collars. Along side that picked up new pushrod bearings and bolts at the same time...

Right, a huge chunk of money gone that I shouldn't have spent...

As I start closing tabs down from all my research, I notice the word 'Pazzo' from a alienated post from a forum, reminding me that I wanted to fit Pazzo levers this winter...

Ohh I go again, just looking :rolleyes: 40 mins later I find my self again clicking the 'Confirm Purchase' button for a £140 pair of Pazzo Race levers! Black with a red adjuster...

Oh god, too much money spent today :(

OH! Just reminded my self, need new grips! Bah, will pick those up from my local bike garage lol.

Is that possible for a bike? I've not come across it yet :p.

My next purchase, besides a new bike, will be some Gilles Rear Sets for my GSX-R, as the current ones are partially ceasing up on the gear side, and no matter what I do, I can't get them feeling really good any more. Also, should be making it into a track bike, so would prefer some adjustable ones.

But yes, pictures required when fitted!

Hopefully all the stuff arrives today, won't be fitting until the weekend most likely as I am going to see Stiff Little Fingers tonight (they are still playing!) and am working lates for the rest of the week :(

You guys will be shocked when I post pics of the old pressure plate, where the springs sit, at the base on the pressure plate, some have holes!!!
 
The pressure plate, collars, bolts and springs arrived today...

Noted already that the springs are VERY tough to compress! Good times, like my clutch to be heavy. The finish of the pressure plate, collars and springs are just amazing, look stunning! Cannot wait to see it on the bike :)
 
Levers arrived this morning as well :)

I put the pressure plate on and stuff last night, only takes 5 mins. Looks ace when the motor is in action! Going to put the levers on tonight and go for a spin, so far I would say the £140 on the levers is money very well spent. The build quality is sublime!
 
think they look pretty good too be fair. think i may order a pair for my little vfr400 ive just acquired to replace the tatty levers on that and see what they are like.

Surprisingly enough they actually are damn good, especially for the price. I had a set on my SV650 and they were a perfect fit and felt like they were really good quality. I'm sure they're not quite as good as ASVs or Pazzos but for 1/6th of the price they're far better than you'd expect.

I know people will argue against this, but if I am buying something nice for the bike, I don't like to cheap out on it, would much rather buy the decent stuff.

Plus, so many bad comments as said above regarding the replicas and the fitting.

I will get pics tonight, been uber busy this week and have only fitted the brake lever and the clutch stuff. Will do the clutch lever tonight, take it for a spin and get a couple of pics :)

Bike is filthy by the way, needs a clean, so clean freaks might want to turn away tonight!

If you get Gilles make sure you grease the hell out of the bolts. I got some and think they are a waste of money. Try harris rear sets...much better

Only just seen the replies to this... wow... some people are such brand snobs! :rolleyes:. These levers are genuinely good quality, I've put my bike next to a bike with Pazzo's and couldn't tell the difference apart from no branding! They fit perfectly and are machined brilliantly. Would recommend them to anyone.
 
Not all snobbery mate. Heard a few horror stories of cheap levers. Poor machining led to poor fitting and in some cases causing brakes to lock up at speed. Ending in a crash. Brakes IMO is just one area you don't scrimp on.
