Forza 4

Anywhere got any good deals on this? Tempted to pick up but know so,e of the supermarkets have deals where buy points and get the game for so much?

You're right, none of them do. Apart from minor things like Autovista, it's all stuff we have seen before, give or take a few tweaks.

I just want the SP to grab me, which F3 managed and so did GT5 to an extent before the daft endurance races. This just doesn't excite me at all, I just feel like it's got to a point where I've done all this before (and I have, several times in several games).

OK so F1 is hardly the most varied of games, but at least in that you feel like you are working towards a genuine goal at the end of a season, with a teammate to compare yourself against and a feeling of involvement. It's an example of a SP racing game done well, and something I think which Forza/GT games should be looking more towards, rather than the randomly flitting between tracks/cars with no real goal other than to get more XP/credits that has existed, in essence, since the original GT. All I've done since I got the game is pick car, win race, pick car, win race, pick car, win race and on and on...

Perhaps I'm missing the point and we are now at a stage where online is the focus, unfortunately I've never been into that, and I've got no time or talent to create vinyl designs to sell so the marketplace doesn't matter to me either.

For me - FM4 SP miles better than FM3 - i just cant get enough of it...
As for credit system - yeah,its proly made for new ppl,who want everything and fast
They should have made some choice between old credit system and new,as for me its way to easy get lots of credits now.I made 1mln+ only from Rivals
So far im really enjoying this game,and seems those black slots left for some DLC races or when you reach some high lvl
Bets sounding car so far for me - 599 GTO - EPICNESS

In many ways yes it is.
Is easily the best FM to date and the best racing game for me anyways on the X360 system ever.
It could turn out to be my fave racing game on this generation of consoles.

It certainly will have its fair amount of issues or downsides too but for me racing games have to be fun and entertaining and with the graphics, audio, selection of cars, upgrades and handling it certainly ticks all those boxes.

Additionally 10x New Cars PM on DLC are expected.

What ever happened to proper events? I am half way through year 4 already.

The races/events seem to be random, make no sense sort of thing.

In FM3, you had your week fillers, then the weekend races. Which I loved!

But this just seems to be a mash of anything, no organising in actual events.

Will this change soon or is it going to be like this all the time. As it stands, I am not really connecting with my cars simply because I am swapping them out all the time.

However, I do love my elise that I shared on the OCUK club.

It's rear end is so unpredictable, it's brilliant! Be wary if you don't use TCS, if you get it right, you will smash anything in the twisties, get it wrong and you will be twisting!

Thats nothing, wait to I get it properly calibrated and the camera at the right height and position (fixes the appearances of the angles).

Im going to be looking at comparing triple screens etc to a 120" projection single screen using Kinect. Their is a discussion thread regards expeiencing the game in the best way visually started @ the new "Forza Planet" forums for anyone interested...

Multiscreens still has carried over what seems the bugs/issues FM3 had.

F599 Cockpit / See the car in front: Appears as a VW Bora on the additional monitor. Err Why?
For hassle free "Multiscreens" Disc 2 cars need to be installed onto each console not just the centre "Host".

Yeah, it's a bit different. The world tour is considerably quicker than the career in FM3. I'm guessing the years will get longer, but it's still just one thing at a time. It will mean considerably more grind when it comes to going through the event list, which you may or may not enjoy.

From what I understand the whole career is like that. What you're actually doing is completing individual races from each series. If you look in the complete event list, you'll see all the series races like they were in FM3.

It was done this way to increase the variety in the racing - so you're not stuck in one car for a couple of hours while you complete 6 or so races.

I prefer it like this IMO. The career is good fun and varied, and once I've completed that I'll move on to completing the full event list.
 
What I dont like is lots of 2-3 lap races...

Even the free play mode doesnt allow you to easily setup a race for XX laps.
I know you could create a multiplayer session but for 1 person and do it that way like in FM3 but its something that would make the "Free or Quick Race" more enjoyable. Also the ability to choose your opponents and grid position.
