Sli gtx 570 that has 2 6 pin connctors, my psu has 6 pin and 8 pin?

Just got myself 2 x 570 that i'm trying to sli. My psu is a coolermaster 1000w. The 570 has 2 x 6 pin connectors wheras the psu has 2 x 6 and 2 x 8. I've managed to get another 6 pin to 8 pin connctor that i was hoping to plug straight into the 8 pin connector on the psu, would this work or would it be a problem.

The other option is to use the included molex connectors but the first looks a tidier option. A quick reply please as i'm in the middle of it all. Thanks

With the 8 pin connectors, they should split making a 6+2 pin

Thanks for the quick reply mate, one does split allowing me to plug just 6 pins into the 8 pins on the psu. The other has 8 pins to the psu with 2 pins blanked out. So plugging both into the 8 pin pci-e on the psu will be ok?

All 8 pins should go to the psu. the 6 pins go into the gfx card
