I have a fantastic new Arkham Destructor as follows:

- Case: Antec 300 Gaming Case
- Power Supply: OCZ ZS 550w PSU (Bronze 80)
- CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.40GHz Sandybridge CPU
- Motherboard: Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION
- Cooler: Corsair H60
- RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6GB/s
- Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5
- Sound: Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board)
- Optical Drive: LG DVD+/-RW SATA Drive

Occassionally, it'll reboot when first switched on within about 2-3 seconds (pre POST) and then boot up fine. This happens once every 7-8 turn ons.

Today I came home, and it rebooted 4 times pre post in a cycle, before fully booting the 5th time.

I get no other reboots at any point, even during stress testing and gaming. Only pre-post when I turn the machine on.

I'm concerned that my H60 cooler might not be kicking in sometimes. Could this be the case?

When it does boot is the overclock still effective? Sounds like the OC is failing occasionally and the system is rebooting.

just sounds like a cold boot issue.
overclocked pcs do this occasionally. It may be best to post in the customer support forums so that the system support staff can advise you with this :)

B3 Revision of a Z68? I thought it was only the P67 Chipset?

Cold boot issue, nothing you can do without removing the overclock.

Thanks fellas. Hyburnate I'm still coming up to speed with motherboard specifics after not having had a gaming pc for 6-7 years, so can't comment on the chipset type.

Is there any long term concerns if this happens, or is it acceptable? Will post to Support forum unless a mod wants to move?

Mine used to do it only once when I switched the power on, never knew it could do it more than once in a row.

Mine does this also, when you turn it on it seems to go off after a few seconds then switch back on, and always boots up properly! Strange, but doesn't bother me :-)
