Great thing about that tower is you can hide anywhere on the map and snipe the sniper up there

Exactly what i was thinking earlier :D

There cant be that many people who'll buy BF3 who havent already played the beta & Caspian, people are going to know to look for snipers hiding up there.

It might be pretty good when you've got a few flags in that area and your taking out people at a fair distance, but equally there will be snipers who'll look there first the moment they get the chance, as they're an easy spot. Cant see that being useful for more than a few days or so personally. No cover to fall back to, just crawl back a bit.
In BF2 you'd have people hiding up the construction cranes, there was better cover, and you could hide along any point of there, the radio tower you have 1 spot, its quite predictable. I suspect once snipers get a knack for spawning at the main base and knowing the bullet drop to account for, those who've died a few times from distant retalitory sniper shots while up there will realise and stop using it.

I kinda liked the snipers camping on the radio tower. Just used a tank from about the Checkpoint flag zone to shoot them down. Got 3 kills of which I presume were all snipers :D .

If I get the disc version, will I still need to use Origin?

I want to know this too

Was going to buy the limited disk edition but dont know if i will be able to use the in built browser. I would prefer not to use origin really, if i could just fire up the in built online lobby and launch a game that would be good

It automatically install origin on your PC and link Battlefield to it. So yes every time you play battlefield your origin account will start up.

Would like to get a deal on bf3, but even if I paid £39.99 for it, its will still work out at crazy good value for the amount of game time I get out of it.
Think i'm going to just go with origin so I can deffo play at the moment of release :)

No matter how many hours you will play it and how much value you will get, you should obviously always go for the cheapest deal when the product is homogenous.

Having to load Origin then go to a web page before you can finally load the game is pretty silly, however if the game is good enough (which it will be) I'll soon forget about all that. I'm currently fighting the urge to spend £700 on a Sandy Bridge upgrade :(.

Just pre-ordered from Ocuk :)

Can't be bothered looking around for cheap key-codes etc.

Always sticking loyal to Ocuk, Can't wait going to be the longest 10 days ever!
